Don't smoke myself, but i was told by few people who gave up more than a year ago, to read the below book.. Honest to God, no gimics or anything.
It's supposed to have a very high success rate.Going to give it a lash myself.Cold turkey isn't working for me.
I know at least 10 people who quit using that book, have only met 1 who didn't give up after reading it, only because he smokes weed everyday though, so was still getting his nicotine fix.
i heard it encourages you to smoke throughout the book and it kind of makes you feel guilty about it or somethin
That it does.I read the opening chapter yonks ago and got bored but now at over €9 a pack it might be worth my while to regain an interest in reading.
reverse psychology maybe.... I know a girl who hasn't smoked in over a year after reading it. She used to smoke 25 a day. She must have gotten financial incentive aswell out of it, because she said that her holiday to america this year has been paid for by a years 'non' smoking of cigarettes, if you get me. Classic when you think of it!
It makes you wonder why you smoke. Most people say they smoke because they are bored etc. Or smoke after dinner. The book makkes you realise that non-smokers dont smoke when their bored or dont smoke after dinner, so what do they do. It's weird, but it works, it's all about getting your head right. It also tells you that at any stage if you want a cigarette, have one. The more you try to quit the less likely you will because your thinking about it. You shouldnt associate it with bad things either, you should associate not smoking with good things instead, but at the same time can't make smoking out to be bad.
For a couple that smoke 1 pack a day each, at an average cost of €5 a pack for 10 years works out at. 5x2x365x10= €36,500 on smokes
Isn't it the biggest waste of f'ing money when you look at it like that.... Not only is it expensive, but it also makes your teeth go brown, and destroys your lungs. We're a crazy race of being we are.
And that's average, I'm lowballing the final figure, I reckon it's much higher, and when put like that, after 10years, are you happier you've smoked, or would you be happier if you checked your savings and had 36k at a nice interest rate sitting there that has just become open to withdrawl and a nice set of pearly whites and decent lungs.
Never mind buying the book.Just reading this thread is enough to make you quit says me just about to extinguish my last smoke of the day.
My fee is 10% of said savings* *10% based on at least €36,500 regardless of amount saved(paid upfront), if more saved extra remunerations to be paid to Eric Nelson once intial 36k circa reached
and mine 15, since i started the thread... thats 25% between the 2 of us You will thank us in the long run lads
good stuff well done. Just on another note. Did you ever sleep with a bird, and then the next morning she asks can she have a smoke while in bed. Out of courtesy you say, yeah sure.... But you're thinking, this is the most vile thing ever, get the **** out of my house.
Didn't read the book, tried champix. Took them for 3 days, got a cold, stopped taking them, was smoking a hell of a lot 40 to 50 a day, and haven't smoked since the 9th of Jan 2010.
Some would say that drink is similar. I remember me and a few mates trying to work out how much we spent on drinking and going out in Dublin between 2000 and 2003. Used to live beside Quinns in Drumcondra and we Worked out over 35k each Would not mind, but could barely remember half of it
