Can anyone tell me if its as easy to lodge money into someones bank account when they are not living in the same country. I sorted a ticket for a scouse friend of mine and neither i nor she is certain of how much information she needs.

thanks for any help in advance

costs you 15 quid extra to transfer to a UK bank account Erik (well it does with AIB)

I haven't done it myself so can't help you with what you might need, don't know whether its straightforward sort code and acc number

Have either of you got paypal?

Ask her to post the cash or it will cost you going through a bank if you don't have paypal

Your account has an Iban number if you give this to her then she will have no problem transferring money as long as she has internet banking

€10 through National Irish Bank ....

Neteller or Paypal could be handy if she had either of them.

Failing that, what about doing something like buying a voucher for Amazon or another online retailer and sending her the code - no real charges to incur, but it does restrict how the money is spent I guess.

All banks Charge a fee. Paypal is the best option easy, quick and no fuss
