As soon as I saw the T shirts after the cup final yesterday. I wondered if this was going the norm from now on after finals. I havent seen it before. I dont recall a T shirt after the champs leauge final or the F.A. cup final in 2006. No doubt supporters will want to get their hands on one. Im sure fans wanted to get T shirts similatr to the ones the players wore to support Suarez. Some more revenue from merchandise. Will other clubs follow suit?
Perhaps it is an American thing.

All other clubs have been doing it for years. We were the only ones who didn't/

    Remember the shambles after Istanbul!

I remember a few mini-riots with people *cough cough* 'buying' programmes at the Turkish airport the day after the final because there weren't enough at the venue the night before. I hope those days are behind us.

    True story, that.

@this The lack of programmes in Istanbul was surely down to UEFA though, no? I never got one, anyway.

Still, we've come some way in fairness. For any failings Ayre may have shown lately, you can't say anything bad about the leaps we've taken regards marketing. Probably the only positive to come from the hicks and gillett era. For years we were selling programmes out of a porta-cabin while the mancs had superstores springing up all over the shop.

I think that was because all the staff were brought to Istanbul, which is a great perk and a super reward, but makes no economic sense. I was in Liverpool for the final and the only people cleaning up were street vendors who printed poor quality t-shirts over night.
The whole debacle with Reebok was the following year. Couldn't buy a jersey for months.
