James Quinn McDonagh came out of this really well imo. I see a lot of these type of lads around where i am and its a tough tough way of settling disputes tbh. 2 hours of street fighting...fcuking hell thats insane. Whats worse is that a lot of these lads would make fantastic boxers in the ring.
It was ok, about 30 mins too long. Surprisingly, the refereeing was pretty balanced under the circumstances. Don't know why the can't organise it more officially into a championship for travellers where each family put forward their best man - and maybe wear gloves!
Second time watching it(its in the Documentary thread also) its well worth a look axel96.Listening to some of those involved..you would think that feud will go on forever.
It will go on forever Juan Grew up around loads of them, all it takes is one comment (normally fueled by drink) to start it all up again.
You mean Gypsy Blood? I saw that one. I thought it was ironic about one of the guys going on about what it menat to be a man and nobody would disrespt him and all that rubbish..it then turned out the guy could not read! I think its appauling that they bring their kids instilling them with that level of violence.
Can't think of the name of it, but that's probably the one ya. The part where the 2 kids were fighting for over an hour, one fell and banged his head, the mother tried to stop it then but the father told them to keep going, crazy! The father the same man who got a machete down on his head , and that's the life he want's for his son
Absolutely agree, they want to condemn their kids to the same life that they had. You have to ask where were the social services in the UK?
Then again that's there "religion" and their culture, and who are you to judge that. Same with the Weddings they have and the "grabbing" As long as they don't cause trouble with other cultures and respect them, then we should do the same. Providing they pay their taxes of course
Yeah definitely well worth a watch, i was glued to it so was my aul lad That was something else, over two hours and he was still moving well. I thought James Quinn McDonagh came across well in it too That other aul lad Joyce thats always in the papers is a proper headbanger, his son is the lad that beat Kenny Egan a couple of weeks ago i think?
I know we are discussing the documentary and dont want to go off topics but every single part of Irish society has had to change and adapt over the last 60 years. Why should one sector of society be left to do as they like. I don't think forcing two 9 years old kids to bash the heads off each other is anything culturally significanty and worth saving. Look at the health stats below for travellers from Pavee Point below....doesn't make good reading.. http://www.paveepoint.ie/pdf/PrimaryHealthCare05.pdf In 1983, the Travelling People Review Body proposed the regular and systematic collection of data on the health status of Irish Travellers. The publication of the ‘Travellers’ Health Status Study – Census of Travelling People 1986’, (HRB 1988:1) and ‘The Travellers’ Health Status Study – Vital Statistics of the Travelling People’ 1987, (HRB, 1989:2) gave rise to considerable concern about the health status of the Traveller community. These reports found that: The fertility rate of Travellers in 1987 was 34.9 per 1,000 – more than double the national average and the highest in the European Union Travellers had more than double the national rate of still births Infant mortality rates were 3 times higher than the national rate Traveller men lived on average 10 years less than settled men Travellers were only then reaching the life expectancy than settled people reached in the 1940s Travellers of all ages had very high mortality rates compared to the Irish Population Traveller women lived on average 12 years less than their settled peers Travellers had higher rates of morbidity for all causes of death
No it was Joe Ward who hammered the shite out of Egan. Big Joe Joyce is a nutter....i only do a bit of cocaine after a few drinks he says in one of his videos.Hands dipped in petrol for 20mins every day!!!! Michael Quinn McDonagh...there is some size difference in him at the start of the video compared to the last...some juicing i would say. A street fight that lasts 2 hours is unnatural. Their gym puts xtreme couture to shame
