Was just thinking to myself earlier about how we might feel about having ourselves occupied with the CC final and hopefully another visit to Wembley in May. As the title asks, would you rather two cups added to the trophy room while sacrificing 4th or fighting our way back to where we belong in Europe at the expence of the cups? Assuming it's one or the other as we all know we'd love 4th and the cups.

For this season with the position we are in in the league I am going to say cups but any other season are main focus has to be the league and getting back to the tob table. Decession is made slightly easier this season as we are already in one final.
both. not impossible. next 5 league games key. with another 3 teams going for 4th there will be a lot more ups and downs until the end of the season.
I took the question in a general context rather than a current opinion as I believe the two cups are more likely as opposed to 4th but I would still take 4th as I believe the revenue is still more important as the game is now so money driven.
Cups Football is about winning things and its being too long for LFC Next year, minimum must be CL places
I like your positivity. Personally, the further we go hopefully in the FA Cup the more I see Kenny prioritising that which could see the end of us challenging for 4th. Then again with Chelsea and Arsenal being just as occupied with CL that could work in our favour. The Geordies are the only team who can focus on 4th 100% and right now who would bet against them.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been so inconsistent this season its all about putting a run together. easier said than done with the glut of games we have coming up. Newcastle wont go away neither. home form killing us tho. we can have no complaints if we finish outside the top 4. you simply cant afford to drop as many points at home. while there is a chance tho I will still keep believing.
4th is more important to this club right now if we want to attract the type of player we need to progress
probably cups. nobody remembers who finishes in 4th place. but i agree champions league football is very important.
cups . we dont enter them to take part we enter to win them , champions league will still be there next yr , I have always viewed this season as a rebuilding year as Kenny's 1st full season back so winning a cup or two takes priority over finishing as 3rd loser in the league , next year cl is definitely our priority hopefully while challenging for the league
Why isn't there an option for both? We're not out of it for 4th place yet and with our main contenders having to come to Anfield it's still all to play for.With only 2 choices I will go for the cups as it's more realistic and will be a major step forward.
Has to be 4th in my opinion. That was the goal at the start of the season. Cups are a bonus. Nice day out for the fans but for growing the club revenues, attracting top players then we need to be in the champions league. The real goal of this club has to be getting number 19 (and number 6) and getting 4th this season would be the first step to that ultimate goal.
