Suggestion, could we have a forum for guys (& girls!) to post if they are looking to play for a local team, or are in a team searching for new players...
I'll kick this off, as I'm keen to have a run on weeknights/weekends in a 'semi-serious' team - competitive, but not of super-high standard (pub team?). I'm quite new in Dublin and had to work many weekends so didn't do this at the start of the season. I can play most anywhere (inc keeper) and was decent in juniors, but did not play much for about 5 years except in social comps.
Anyone? Cheers.

sounds good even maybe if anyone was interested nearer to the summer we could organise a astro tournie one day event thing seen it done before and is good fun.
I've recently given up the fag's, 11 days and going strong.
I really want to get back into playing, I know i'm seriously unfit and i've started to train myself.
Anyway, I would love to get back into, both 5 a side or 11.
I live in the city centre, let me know if anyone plays with a team.
Cheers,
Dave.

Judging by the level of interest around here I reckon you could get a 5 a side game set up with IK members, particularly around the Dublin area.

Chalk me down, I'm in Dublin one night a week. I'm flexible on the night so could be available........thats if you want a 'slightly' overweight 6'5" stopper or a water carrier!

played in a few of them over the last few years very good standard and when u come up against a team that has played together for a while its very tough, not saying not to do it but maybe starting off with a kick about between ik members might be better.

not a bad idea, less pressure than a comp where ya have to pay fees etc
could organise a saturday arvo kick around in fairview park or something

I'd be up for a kick about myself, but Saturdays would probably be the worst days for me, what with it being the day the Redmen play on the most!

Yeah, well up for anything like this...so long as I can play between sticks...lazy bugger:)
Good man Dave you're 9 days more than me...I'm such a failure, bit like Richard Harris really....giving up smoking is easy, I've done it thousands of times!

So are we going to give this a crack?
How about booking somewhere once off for a friendly kick around to start with?
I'd presume somewhere in Dublin would suit?
What night would suit everyone?
