Carling Cup Final on Sunday 26th February, at Wembley If we beat Man City Wednesday.

Surely this can't happen, Hope LFC Vs Everton doesn't get rescheduled for the weekend before as i won't be able to attend :(

If either lpool or everton are still in the fa cup the game can't be played the previous week.

Any word on a re-scheduled date yet?

I am trying to get over to Liverpool for this weekend anyway to be there for the cup final. The missus bought me a ticket to the Everton game with and they don't provide a full refund - they say they will try to sell the ticket for a lower price minus their 20%. Anyone have any dealings with this crowed?

No news on the re scheduled date, i suppose it could depend on fa cup runs for both teams, please do no name travel agents/touts on here

its a pity about the lack of refund but thats the choice when you use these rip off merchants

Because both Merseyside clubs are still involved in the FA Cup and also the fact that this is likely to be a Sky TV match it possibly means that it could be midweek on either 20/21st March.

I just hope that we are given enough notice to give us a chance to return the ticket if we want to.Wishful thinking on my part but here's hoping anyway.

Ironic that the BS's cup final gets moved so we can play in ours.

3 years ago on the 19th of January I think... a 1-1 draw on a Monday night...only a few days before that fa cup match...with another 1-1 draw before being knocked out in the replay.

I had hoped that would be a great week going to two derbies...what a let down!

Lionel, do you reckon it would get pushed out that far? I though it would be the midweek after maybe? But that's just a pure guess.

Might take a gamble on flights for March.

There are international games on the midweek after the carling cup final so that would rule it out i assume. Will potential FA Cup 5th round replays also take place that week?

It was a big two points dropped at the time with such a late goal.

And to add insult to injury I had 2 bets on; (i) win 1-0 and (ii) win/Gerrard score. Was minutes away from £200.

Cahill the ******! was devastating enough without that bet, argh! musta been sickening.

I wouldn't gamble on any specific dates in march to be honest. with no Europe to factor in, they could really do anything. I would say that any 5th round replays would be 28th/29th so surely they wouldn't make the same hems as they did with spurs.

and as niall said above, internationals to consider as well. the police obviously have a big say again considering they generally avoid this being at night anyways and there was trouble recently enough.

I'll sit tight til it's confirmed cos flights wouldn't be too hectic at the moment anyways surely!

Be silly to take a gamble on flights, especially for a re-arranged game. Just be on the ball when it is announced

Elvis, you would be nuts to take a punt on flights based on anything I might say. My reasoning for putting that date out so far is that I think Sky will want to keep this fixture as a TV match. Which rules out Champions League midweek's unless it was a 6pm kickoff. Games from the top leagues in Europe are not allowed to be broadcast in opposition to UEFA's flagship competition.

I also think there is not the same pressure on the Premier League to schedule it. As the weather this season has meant there is no fixture backlog currently.

    This was my reasoning

Feb 7/8 Fa 4th Round Replays
    Feb 14/15 Champions League
    Feb 21/22 Champions League
Feb 28/29 Internationals Midweek & Fa Cup 5th Round Replays?
    Mar 6/7 Champions League
    Mar 13/14 Champions League
    Mar 20/21 FREE WEEK
Mar 27/28 Champions League & FA Cup 6th Round Replays.

Ye I would never have gone this way myself, but she doesn't know much about booking these things.

Thanks for the heads up - and I didn't know about posting names - so I will keep that in mind.

I want to go to the re-scheduled game anyway, just waiting on a date to change the flights and hotel.
