Bellamy doesn't do Wednesday/Saturday so bench at best for him. With no Spearing I think he'll go with 433 with Adam Henderson Stevie and Maxi Downing and Carroll. Fancy the Kop to be hopping to Maxi's tune

Stoke are a tough team to beat. Pulis always sets them up well. I dont think having Carroll isolated 30 yeards ahead of everyone else is a tactic any of us want to see. I'd imagine Maxi will get a start tomorrow. Carroll will be needed to help defend corners and set pieces. Anyone think he'll revert to 3 centre backs again?

Flexible in the fact that we can play 4-4-2 and change to a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 type formation. Carroll I think has to start because against Stoke he will be important in BOTH penalty boxes. There is also a case for Downing on the left side to run at their right full back. That position his alien to Woodgate and if both start Id expect Downing to be very direct and cause him problems in a similar way to that of Matt Jarvis. Doubt Bellamy will start because of his knees and hopefully we don't have to use him to keep him fresh for an important period coming up. Stoke struggle on the road and we have a tendency to draw games at home. With Steven Gerrard back I'm going to predict a win for Liverpool.
