We have been linked with him over the last few weeks in the papers,
we have Jose Enrique,Fabio Aurelio and Jack Robinson. Why would we need anymore competition in that area?

Hopefully we dont need drift wood around clogging up the wage bill and the bench where we should be bringing up our quality youths

i think he would be an excellent addition to the SQUAD. he can play at left full back and in central defence. Hes a hugely experienced player with good pedigree and would only compliment what we already have.

He's shit, worse player at Barcelona by some distance, great admiration for him though for coming back so fast after cancer though.

Best left back on the planet for the last few years. But in saying that he could still be their worst player, its some team when the best left back in the world is your worst player:D Puyol and Valdes are worse imo.

shits a bit harsh no? french international and playing for arguably the best team in the world, although not getting much football i would hardly suggest hes shit.

at 2.5 million pound he could be a good addtion. his experience would be vital for the young lads.

Give over he's not even the best French left back that little rat is a much better player and always has been, and there's about 5 better left backs playing in Spain.

Carragher Aurellio Johnson are all experienced players they can learn from, we currently have 4 very good fullbacks 4 very good CB's and that's not even including Robinson and Flanaghan, no need to bring in any defenders for some time IMO

Totally agree - always thought he was a liability at Lyon and was shocked when he went to Barca. Think he has been better this season (maybe due to Barca playing a quasi back 3 at times?) but not someone I'd be interested in.

Good player but I wouldn't want him here..at this stage of his career I reckon he'll look for a nice wage to see out the last of his playing days..would not be surprised if he ends up at anzhi

Think we should Pass on this one.Although i admire him for what he has been true, i wouldnt like to see him see for us.We dont need players on huge salaries at the moment who are past their prime.
