I can't believe there is no thred on this, apologies if there is. What's the story on the Kompany appeal, when do we find out if he's suspended ?
According to http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Dzeko and Balotelli are both out for the first leg !!
Kompanys appeal, according to 'sky sports news' the hearing will take place on Tuesday afternoon & City will be notified of the outcome later in day. If the appeal proves unsuccessful kompany will miss both carling cup semi's plus prem lge games v Wigan & spurs. I think they'll win the case, it was very harsh sending off. We need to score wed nite, a 2-1 loss wouldn't be the worst result to bring back to Anfield. Who will start, Bells & Maxi before Downing & Dirk. I've lost all faith in Downing since since last tue nite v city. Not that I was ever he's biggest fan but that game defiantly finish him for me. Still hopes he proves me wrong.....
Play a first rate squad and cut down on the defensive errors and we'll be all right! We should be able to keep them close and must score on the road as they have the firepower to score on us at home. Come on you Redmen!
Really need to get some sort of result for this game. I don't want to be going to Anfield in 2 weeks 3-0 down. I just hope we start with Bellamy & not let Kuyt near that starting 11 & that Stevie G starts aswell. I think we have a great chance as Dzeko, Balotelli, the two Toures & hopefully Kompany wont be playing so we have to take this Opportunity. God knows we could all do with a day out in Wembley after the last couple of years we've had.
Don't think Kompany has a cats chance in hell of getting off to be honest... It was never a red but if its enough to be a yellow the FA will back the ref..
keep the tie alive for leg 2. ill take 1-1 but if they have a few players missing there is no reason we cant nick a victory tomorrow night. head says 1-1.. heart says 2-0 lfc
It wasn't a red because there was no intent, he never came near the player and his feet were very low to the ground. But there isn't a hope of it being over turned. He went in with two feet so the FA are well within their rights to refuse the appeal...I really don't think there's a chance of it being over turned and especially seen as Ferguson has already come out and said that it was a red card......
if that gets overturned the FA will just open up an ongoing can of worms with appeals. Delighted he'll be out!
Hoping that we can beat them,as I believe a poor scum team, managed to.Would take a score draw but we have a golden opportunity to make things alot easier 2nd leg with the players they're missing
