You could sign former greats before their career took off who would you love to see where an LFC Jersey.

Yesterday on my 2nd favourtie site I said i would have loved if a certain Roy Keane had played for us and not the scum. I got ridiculed by one person in particular who actually said Keane was ' not that talented he just got lucky playing with other good players'

I wholeheartedly disagree on top of his talent his sheer dogged determination to win and his leadership ability was amazing. Yes he made mistakes but who hasn't.

A current player I'd love to see at Liverpool is Ronaldo. Again I know I'll come in for some stick but I think his physical strenght tips it for me over Messi. I'm not so sure Messi could cope with being kicked to pieces by some of the more aggressive teams.

Anyway before anyone responds it's an opinion. There is no right or wrong
    :D

we were supposed to sign him but someone at the club wasnt willing to pay the transfer fee or pay his wages or some shite like that cause he was only 18 or 19 and he signed for man united a few months later.

At a family function on saturday night after a few drinks all 5 liverpool fans came to the same conclusion about Keane.
Had he been ours instead of the scum i fully believe we could have won a lot of what he did.
A player with that kind of will to win and self belief instills that in other players and less of the armani suits and we are on the beer attitude that engulfed a lot of clubs at that time.

I think that a certain someone was on a wind up yesterday when they said that Keane was over rated.Would definitely have loved if we had signed him before he sold his soul and all that. For me Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp are 2 players I would have loved us to sign.

Despite the grief ill get for saying this and him being an ex Manc I'd have loved us to have signed Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi would do though ;)

At the time of Armani suits, spice boys and on the beer attitude, Keane would have been first to the bar!! Didnt really call his lifestyle into question till around 2000 whereas up to that point he'd drink it out of a cows arse.

Toss up between Shearer and Henry for me. Shearer could have made the difference in the Roy Evans era, but I agree Keane could have made more of a difference due to the fact that we had Fowler in his prime.
Not sure if Henry would have thrived under Houllier's management and style of play. Heskey may not have complemented him so well
