There was a heated debate at work of late between me versus 2 manure fans, their view was with the Suarez issue the attitude of the club was alienating itself from the rest of the PL in a battle againist the FA. To a degree of sort i agree , not only with the Suarez case but with the Spearing sending off, with the Suarez finger incident we went toe to toe with the FA in these issues rather than accept it . I know the Suarez/ Evra case is different, it stands on its own merits .I think also with all the press coverage the club has gotten of late i think we probably have gone the next step further with us versus the world, with certain people from different European groups being quoted in different papers being critical of our stance. What do people think on here, is this now the case? Who is to blame for this is it the papers , the FA ,is it the club?
I certainly don't think it is the club to blame mate, infact I was annoyed with the club for not appealing the Suarez 8 match ban to be honest ... Bad news sells newspapers and sadly, LFC has had a few bad news stories of late so every newspaper & rag that exists are all tagging onto us .... they simply can't wait for the next negative story (true or not won't matter almost at this stage) I fear. All the more reason for us to dig in and stick togeather imho
Got loads of stick the last few days off fans of all sorts of teams. Haven't been biting & it's only making them worse. Wrecking my head.
You could always try the "Rafa" method of reply... Random manc fan : "you lot are reprehenc...repuhensi......bad for supporting Suarez, he called Evra names" You : "As usual I will concentrate on supporting my team" Random toffee fan : "you lot are giving the city a bad name" You : "As usual I will concentrate on supporting my team" Random Citeh fan : "Downing slapped his missus, and yer all racists" You : "As usual I will concentrate on supporting my team"
