I have a htc desire s,the touch screen is acting up on me. It is completely unresponsive most of the time.If i unlock it and start using it the split second it unlocks i can use it for a while but that soon ends. Also the date on it is the sunday jan 6 1980:eek:.

I have tried taking the battery out and leaving it out for 10 mins and putting it back in but still is the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

I've never had a problem with the screen on my desire but from time to time the camera stops working,if I clear up some of the memory on the phone it comes back on.
Might not work in your case pat but worth a try..

It could potentially be a digitizer issue, but I think the best bet here is to backup the phone using Titanium backup, and restore the phone to factory settings...
