The over 40 Club.

So i will be 40 this year, ahh well i'm still a handsome B*****d.

Thing is i am informed by others in same situation (40 this year) as my good self (2 Brothers in Law and my best mate) that we are going on a weekend away in July, (Wives have already agreed to this ) only 40 year olds from this year need apply.

And yes there will be alcohol involved.


So where to go?

I'll be joining this exclusive club before the end of 2012 myself mate ....

and like you, there's a couple of the lads in my own group who are also turning 40, so we're also of a mind to sort something out (although there's a bit more of a limit on the spend now, than there was a few years ago, when I was talking about doing 3 weeks in New Zealand or something )


Having done the Oktoberfest a few years back, I can strongly recommend that trip.

Is Newcastle any use for a weekend trip?

 

We wen't there the year before last, for a weekend ...

It was OK, but a bit disappointing - I'd head for Liverpool, Edinburgh, London, Manchester quicker to be honest with you mate.

Also, with the currency change and good old Ryanair, it might be cheaper to go to a Eurozone location, if you can bag a few cheap flights.....

If dosh wasn't a consideration, a few weeks in Poland would be just the job needless to say but we'll have to skip that plan I'm afraid

Barca is a great city alright, I've been lucky enough to get there a few times over the years - sometimes for the match, sometimes just for the booze and scenerary. Defo would consider it again alright - good call mate.

Babbs, thanks for that link, there's nothing advertised on it right now - the travel agent must be updating the page, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Well, if and when that time comes mate.... I certainly won't be seeking any pleasure from the check up
