    Did anyone watch shane meadows "This is england 88":great show!! the guy who plays woody (joe gilgun) should get an award!!Fabulous Actor.

    I saw the film this is England and thought it was ok. But I watched the two series this is England 86 and this is England 88 and I would highly recommend both, some excellent acting. Both have some very dark story lines but gripping viewing.I would be suprised if it doesn't pick up some awards.

    It is an extension of film up the pool yeah and has much of the same characters.Enjoyed the film and this is england 86 and there are some great actors and actresses in it. It can be tough viewing at times but well worth sticking with it, some good laughs in it as well. Have the new series TIE 88 on the skyplus at home, looking forward to get stuck over xmas.

    yea i liked the film so ill have to check this out im very bad when it comes to watching tv series though i watch 2 or 3 episodes and then forget about the 4th and 5th and then just dont bother getting back to it ive also never watched a full episode of sopranos or the wire you wouldnt mind but i love gangster movies:D

    Yes i watched 86 and the film. Harding hitting at times alright. I had the 88 series on the Skyplus and watched them last weekend. I didn't think it was as good as 86 but still a decent watch.

    The young one in it should never show her baps off again

    Brutalest set ive ever seen me own are nicer

    This is England 86 is only 4 episodes and 88 is only 3 so you'll be grand on that front. You can pick them up on 4od too.

    Is 86 not 6 episodes no??



    I watched the film, then 86, and watched 88 when it was on last week, its gripping to think that stories like that actually happen. You wouldnt see eastenders doing a rape or suicide storyline like that!! Its very dark, but very good.

    Woody is a top notch actor in it. (He's in that misfits thing as well)
