    We are one of a host of clubs linked with him. He is very young, and apparently very talented.

    anyone seen much of him playing for Basel? AFAIK, he's an attacking midfielder

    He was very good in under 21s during the summer. Outside the Spanish players he was next best.

    Has a rocket of a left foot, I know that much. Couldn't tell you anything else about his link up play or work rate. The only thing I've noticed is any time I've seen him play he's been playing on the right hand side and cutting back in onto his left foot to shoot!

    We are short on the right hand side and if we're in the market for a wideman, then I prefer us to buy an out and out right sided player.

    He's very stocky and strong. Can be quite selfish but given he is such a key player for Basel/U21s thats maybe more understandable.

    As mentioned got a good shot on him and scored a great strike against England last year. We were actually linked with him for around 6mill at that time.

    I hate to see threads opened without mention of HOW we are linked to certain players. The source of the story tells a lot.

    EDIT: Just checked it is from the Daily Star. One for the transfer rumours thread so.

    Every time I see us linked with this player I think of a certain Mr Hodgson. As appartently he was tracking him when he was in charge of us .

    A player I would love to see with us , anytime ive seen him he has been very impressive , very strong and direct player willing to shoot at any opportunity keeps the ball very easily and I've never seen him pushed of the ball as keeps it close and under control , looks a very hungry and technically talented IMO
    .Will end up at a top club , us ?
    Seems perfect for the premierleague

    Have only seen this guy in glimpses, if what you say is true though he sounds like an exciting player. Am I right in saying he plays right side and cuts back in on his left side all the time to shoot?

    Am sure he will move on to a bigger club this summer, doubt Basel will be able to hold on to him.

    Both Players you mentioned Ben are Quiet injury Prone.I think he will get a fair crack of the wip. Great price for them.I knew there was no chance of him going to Gala.

    There was a bit of speculation about Robben heading to Russia a while back, know lot of it maybe tabloid rubbish, but he has been injured a bit this season so wouldn't be surprised if he is sold in the summer.
