Heard rumours before about him coming on loan.

53 goals in 76 games for Bayern. 21 Goals in 50 games for Germany.

Have to say I have never been overly impressed with him, however that is a tight record.

I said the same thing in another thread, he only ever scores when I'm not looking. Always thought he was shite but is record suggests other wise.

Said this in another thread.I rate him highly and would love to have him on board but not likely with Bayern offering cl football. Wish we had the right owners in place when we were considering the loan move.

I was only talking about it yesterday on the transfer forum, Bayern wanted a loan fee but we couldn't afford it was the reason I heard it was stalled, but he wanted to join us and we tried to push it through on deadline day 2010, super player who after poor start at Bayern is now the best "number 9" in the world IMO.
People are to easy to discard young strikers after slow starts at clubs, Real wanted shot of Benzema last year also, and woulda sold for £15m until there was a few injuries and he got a run of games.

Haven't seen too much of him to decide but I question whether he is another Luka Toni or not... lets see if he continues this great form over the past 18mths.
