Guys,anybody ever have any probleam with CD WOW and customs. I have been using them for years and ever had any issue, although its been a while since I use them, as I use Play or Amazon these days, but anyway ordered a dvd for €20 and today I receive a letter from revenue saying that they are holding it and judging by the letter I could end up having to pay vat and delivery charges!!.
Had problems with CDWOW a few years ago.basically it took them months to send me my stuff and in the end through alot of arguing with them i got refund. Wouldnt even go on to their site now.
Ya have heard of people having delivery issues in the past but am just wondering has anyone had issues with stuff being held at customs. The dvd was for 20euro but it says on letter for goods over 22euro can be held, this load of bolloks, 6 euro then to get An post to delivery it. Am just wondering can I get my money back by going to my bank, was paid with my debit card. Bought dvd of cd wow as was cheapest from all the other sites, wont be cheapest now!!.
I never had a problem with the personally but don't they dispatch from Asia? If so, then customs would be an issue.....they must've been nabbed and told to change because anything outside the EU would be liable. I have bought from stores on ebay that distribute from the US and been done by customs. Irritating as hell but it's the chance you take because it is technically payable. I'd say you'll have to cough up this time and just avoid using them again. I'd say you can't get money back because CDWow have played their part...
