I hope the first (and more recent) article is the correct one. Don't know anything about him but it would be a steady continuation on our policy of buying the best young British talent!

Anyone have any idea how Jordan played today in his debut match for the U18's?

That is great news all right! I have huge hopes for this guy and I think he's physically already at a very good level so just needs to get some game time.

Regular first team action will do him wonders and will be good for Liverpool aswell. All the best to him in the championship

With Rodgers apparently scouting wingers/forwards left right and centre is there really gonna be a place for Ibe long term unless he absolutely tears it up in the Championship? Obviously, I hope he does but not many players that get loaned out come back to play first team consistently...

He's a kid and we've only got one out and out wide player on our books, who's also a kid. We could sign two in the summer and still need Ibe to be well covered.

Haven't seen much of Ibe since he went to Birmingham on loan but he looked very good in last nights match, albeit a friendly but the signs were there that he has all the tools to be a future first teamer.

His game time could be limited this season at Liverpool though and it could be best to go out on loan, I'd say there might even be a few PL clubs interested in taking up a season loan option if available. The most important thing for him at this stage is to get 90 guaranteed football every week to progress his development.

Has the potential to be as good as Sterling , just needs regular games next season even if on loan

I agree, I think this kid is going to be a huge player for Liverpool FC. He's even more direct than Sterling, well able to beat players and plays with no fear which is a joy to watch. Needs to work on his finishing but he's 18.

I think him with and Rodgers right now at Liverpool it is a case of being in the right spot at the right time.

He could not be at any better club in the World than Liverpool, Rodgers will play him next season and will nurse him along too so if the form dips or whatever so in that sense he's a very lucky kid.

But I think he's going to have a massive impact for the next 10 Years or whatever if we keep him.

Yerman Rossiter is the exact same, different type of player but the guy is class in terms of ability, effort everything. There is a touch of the class of 92 ( United ) about it, it is very unusual to bring this level of young player through in such quantity in such a short time frame.

Plus Liverpool are now the club to join for these up and coming stars.

By the way who signed him ? DALGLISH. :D

I completely agree but one of the big questions with all of these lads is how do we fit them into the squad and give them enough game time that they can continue their development. Sterling is a guaranteed starter now but that's after maybe two years of dropping in and out of the squad. Ibe is probably looking at Sterling and thinking that he's ready to be there but he'll have to be patient and take his chances when they come round.

What I will say is this guy could be even better than Sterling because of his physical size, he's got pace to burn and seems to be comfortable across the pitch but this guy also has incredible power too. I'm not saying that Sterling is weak but this lad is a different build altogether and will terrify players when he gets running at them both with pace and power, very unique mix.

    Absolutely.

This is why this season should looked in a positive light...all the young players who made their mark in the first team this season and now we have the youngster like Ibe following behind.

Next lad to watch for is Jordan Rossiter.

Hat-trick for Jordan Ibe today in a competitive England match U19's. Game finished England 6-0 Montenegro.

    Lloyd Jones also started.
