If the Hulk is gonna be anyway similar to the last one, I'll be giving it a miss.

Dark Knight is the one I'm looking forward to. Batman Begins was a cracker of a movie. IMO that is the best movie made thats based on a comic. All the other (maybe with the exception of XMen) are seriously overrated.

Indy might be fun too.

For all the hype that this movie intitially, I'm surprised its coming out in less than 2 weeks and haven't heard a mention of it in a while. Will be a show I'll definitely go see, but the shakey camera could get annoying after a while!

looking forward to Indy 4.

i think the writers strike is going to hit movies later on in 2008/2009 as any movie going to be released early in the year is well passed the script stage by now.

I tend to use Rotten Tomatoes as a guideline for flics I have little knowledge of and 95% for this film is beyond impressive.

The other good 'proper' film that I know is coming out is There Will Be Blood with Daniel Day Lewis which has gotten 90%

Just watched this on Friday. I have to say that I thought it was excellent. Heavier than most Coen brothers movies (the man who wasnt there and barton fink aside).

Highly recommened

Seen this last week aswell, it was good but I felt it let itself down a little. Javier Bardem & Josh Brolin are very good in it, it was building up to be the encounter of the decade between the two of them

Saw this last night, and i dont know if i liked it or not

The film didnt blow me away but at the same time i enjoyed it

Thought the film was a mix of godzilla and blair witch, very short and a few scary bits.

Still dont know what to give it, but the girlfriend loved it on that ill give it a 7/10

Yeah got that out on dvd a week or two ago. Was a good enough watch. Did not match the likes of Scum or ID thougfh in my opinion, although is in a very similar vein.

It is based on the book by Cormac McCarthy, and stuck to the story in the book. Without wanting to give anything away, the whole point of the ending and the way the last 30 minutes went, it was not meant to build to a clash between them.

If you have not read the book yet, I would advise you to pick it up and let it be the start of your McCarthy reading, as his books are amazing.

My fave book of his, The Road, is now being made into a film on the strength of the reaction to No Country For Old Men.

Nice one, I'll take a look.
Although I did enjoy it, I think i was more let down by my feeling Josh Brolins character was let down a little by the way he left the movie

A few people I know who saw the film without reading the book have made more or less the same comments as you.

I think coming from having read the book a few years back, the film was a great companion piece to the story I already knew, and because of that, it probably flowed a bit differently than for a person watching it without having read the book.

As well as that book and The Road, check out McCarthy's Border Trilogy.
