This looks the business to me if you can afford another 80 euro . http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/9578142/art/samsung/ue40d5700zf-led-smart-tv.html
Yep all the time the best time to order an item is in the morning before 10 because everything is sent out at 12 or 1 and they take laser too so its pretty handy . I know the first time i ordered off them i had to email them a picture of my passport and a utility bill together because of anti fraud checks they do .
I have just found out to use the smart tv functions you need to connect the lan cable off a broadband modem into the tv . You can buy a wireless for about 50 but a lan cable is much cheaper .
There's a few worth a look, in Powercity also mate .... they are all cheaper and to be honest, I'd respectfully suggset at least some of the following three are better value: http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-13-...0D503&brands=SAMSUNG&image=2-webbannermiddle2 http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-13-...HL833&brands=TOSHIBA&image=2-webbannermiddle2 http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-13-...23606&brands=PHILIPS&image=2-webbannermiddle2
Out of those three I would go with the LG. Higher refresh rate on the screen, so you wont notice flickering.
I'd go with the led too.no wifi wouldn't bother me.presume you could still use regular network if you needed to. Just on the pixmania thing though, id just be wary and make sure the tv supports mpeg4 for saorview.I've got stuff from them before and I think it came from portugal and I think they use mpg2.no bother with the stuff though,i think it was a digital camera at the time.instructions were not in english but was able to download them on the net. ,
LED is not the best at the moment. It is the newest technology but its not the best yet. As with all new technologies issues crop up as bugs havent been ironed out. I personally have a samsunf LED and the picture is brighter and probably a bit sharper i had to sent teh tv into repair because of an issue with the LED tv and stuttering images.
Im looking to buy an Led full hd tv, 32-42". I have looked around and don't seem to find any cheaper than pixmania. They say that they are 'freeview'. Is this saoirse compatible? I'd be interested in the first and last on this page: http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/19904/xx/199-500/8/3/criteresn.html Also this one seems very reasonable. http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/11340673/art/techwood/t32pld12-led-television.html I don't really fancy spending more than 400 if I don't have to. Any advice/recomendations greatly appreciated
I'd go for the last one on the first link you gave - The Toshiba one, for 20 quid extra you get an extra 10inches, which makes all the difference. Also Freeview is NOT Saorview, you will only be able to pick up the Irish radio channels on it. So you will need to buy the Saorview box for those TVs.
