Heard a couple of days ago that a girl off my road was attacked & badly sexually assaulted around 2a.m. on her way home on Monday moring far as I know, on a green area near Northside S.C. by 2 scumbags. Don't know her as she's fairly new to my road, but Gardai arrested 2 near the scene. Some serious scumbags out there.
Scumbags, if proven guilty then there's really only one punishment which would be appropriate - though unforunitely, they don't dish out that kinda punishment in our courtrooms ! (though who knows, perhaps out in the yard some day, in the 'joy if the right group of lads happen to bump into them )
In this country crime pays, we are to soft, should apopt the same approach that countries like China do and shout these ****ers.
Too many do-gooders, not only in this country, for anything severe to happen to scum like this, can't be infringing on their human rights now can we?
My opinion as well, if they weren't breaking the law they wouldn't be locked up in the 1st place, therefore their human rights wouldn't be affected. I'm all for putting them a small room with just bread and water for 24hrs a day, or have the feckers out in chaingangs fixing the damn roads in this country.
heard this the other day from a mate , apparently she was on the way home from the blacker , women should'nt be out on there own at that hour , scum of the earth they are hope they catch whos responsible f*ckin Scumbags
If this girl was related to me in any way I wouldnt be responsible for my revenge!! Poor girls life will never be the same after that ordeal.
Hi mate, I was unfair to post suggesting it was specifically going on in the joy .... so sorry if that was the point you were making. However, in instances like this where it's a voilent sex crime, or something else (perhaps an attack on children), our courts simply don't dish out the appropraite punishment for the crime. Assuming they are proven guilty in a court of law by a judge and jury, then I'm afraid I have to say I want to see them punished and not just with a custodial sentence I'm afraid. Ultimately, I believe the sentencing in Ireland is far to lean, for many of the more serious crimes .... while you or I may be imprissioned, simply for forgetting to pay our TV licence on time. All I want to see in this gread land of ours, is justice.
Garrett, I agree with your points on sentencing. I just don't agree with lads getting a beating when they go to prison or indeed before that.
Well, i know what yer sayin, but really it would be better to say that women shouldn't have to avoid being out on their own at that hour.
I appreciate what your saying mate ... guess we just have a different view on this one (btw, I'm not suggesting that beatings are OK for everything, but there are one or two crimes that I'd make the exception for). Anyway, as I say I appreciate your view mate.
Some of you don't condone beatings, but imagine if that had been your sister/girlfriend/wife/aunt/niece or a mother as this girl is, be more than a good hiding you'd want to see these scum get. The scars may heal, but that girls life will be changed forever, especially mentally.
If that happens to someone I know. I'd go and torture them, I'd probably kill the scum. Then go and hand myself in. I'd demand I get a few years off my sentence for doing the job the justice system should have done. These scumbags will be out in 3 years IF they go down for it. Country is a disgrace, especially the legal system.
Same thing happened to a friend of mine last week. A fella friend. He rang me an I said to go to the police straight away. He said "for what? for them to be lookin at me askin me questions an all. No I just want to get home and into a shower, i feel filthy" Scum is putting it too mildly. They ruin peoples' lives
jesus thats just down the road from me , the punishment should fit the crime but courts are way too lenient for these types of crimes , judges should be taking the impact the crime has on the victims when sentencing , until we get that there will not be justice for the victims of these crimes
They took it upon themselves to cast pain on this girl. They took away her dignity. They took away her right to say no. I think like for like would be appropriate in this case.
