There is a piece in the Indo today about this. I would love to see this happening - am a big fan of Coleman since his days with the Bit o' Red

In fairness...the same was said about Enrique and now he's looking like a contender for player of the season

I think he's a good player. If we pay the same amount we gave the Geordies for Jose i'd be happy but on the other hand if we have to pay over the odds like we did on Andy, Downing and Hendo i'd sooner look else where

Reckon if there is any truth in this Coleman will be dying to move over, play well with Liverpool and he might as well board the plane for the Euros now..

I doubt that in this day in age any Everton player would transfer over to Liverpool, How could he live in the city with the abuse, Wasn't that the reason why Baines wouldn't move to us this summer. I could be wrong but I just don't see it.

Be delighted if we signed this kid, reminds me a bit of Houghton, great workrate, very tidy in possession and an eye for goals. I'd imagine Kenny would be dead keen on him.

Can't see Moyes selling him to the Pool. What is the actual source.

Heard this today also, agree with some of the comments above. from an Irish perspective a move to a big club might be good, but to be honest is he any better than what we have already, as in, who will be dropped to accommodate him?

Was talking to the auld lad about this last night as he asked me about it, and although I'd love to see him sign for us, I don't think he would get in the team. He can play right back and right midfield . Currently we have right back all sewn up with johnson and young Kelly. On the right hand side we have Kuyt and Henderson. So unless there is a sale of one of those I can't see this happening.

I dont think this will happen but I would not be against it. I think Coleman would be a good addition to the squad, similar work rate to Kuyt and could also easily fill in at right back. Considering Johnno and Kelly have been a bit injury prone lately, Flanno is still too young and naive IMO, and we have had to play Skrtel/Carra right back, I think Colemans versatility could be good option for the squad.

Not so sure if it would a great move for his development as he is 23 and needs to be playing regularly, dont think he would get that at Liverpool

Not sure he's good enough, I'd have him in the squad although £10m for a reserve RM (if that) /3rd choice RB hmm. I think silly season has indeed begun, there's probably nothing in this. Would love to see him establish himself in the Ireland team though as I think McGeady is brutal, shift Duffer back over to his favoured side and get Seamus in on the right.

Hmmmm I dont know mate. I still think he is Everton good. If he came Id be happy to be proven wrong but I dont think I would be. I guess Id have to see more of him to have my opinion changed

Personally, I never really saw enough of Jose to have a real opinion about him, but I will admit at a guess and at the time, I would have questioned why he was a Newcastle and had spent a season in the Championship v's not being at a big club already - thus I would have been wrong!
