We bought a 14 year old lad from MK Dons today*Seyi Ojo, £2m apparently

    http://mobile.mkdons.com/runtime/mkdons/article?articleId=2519017

MK Dons can confirm Seyi Ojo has completed a move to join Liverpool Academy.
The 14-year-old midfielder, who joined the Dons four years ago, has been capped twice at England Under-16 level during their recent Victory Shield campaign.
Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "This is the opportunity of a lifetime for Seyi and his parents which has proved far too difficult to turn down. There has been a lot of interest and speculation regarding Seyi which he has coped with admirably.
"We are extremely proud to have Seyi in our record books as our first schoolboy to receive an international cap. Everyone at the Club would like to wish Seyi the best of luck in his future and we all look forward to the day he runs out at Anfield."

I'm loving this new youth policy I must say.
I would still like ius to take looks at top SA talent that cost in the 20mil region. And I reckon given the right player the club would, which excites me :)

A load of cash for a 14 year old & not a single Gary Glitter joke? I'm disappointed at you lads.

Seems to be a hell of a lot of money on a lad who is still 3 or 4 years away from the first team, but, that's what it takes these days I suppose.

Good to see some quality coming in and in particular british talanet. We do need to see some of these so called youngsters coming through the ranks and playing some first team football. We did see Ecclestone and Amoo make a few appearances last term but they never looked the business. I suppose Morgan, Sterling, Suso and Coady will be knowcking on the door but surely it needs to be soon. The Chelsea cup game is a great time to bring on youngsters. Ojo will be impressed by our youth policy and he will be given every opportunity to floursih. Welcome.........

I don't know if this lad has ever played for England before but he has just received a call up today to the England U16's squad. He is one of eighteen players called up for an International match against Spain next month.

I hang my head in shame. The criticism is indeed merited.

Going to do 100 lines now as a punishment.

I will check the facts before I post on Irish Kop in the future.
