May as well start this as I imagine there will be a few looking to go! Hopefully we get put into Poland for travel purposes but Ukraine might be better for tickets because it essentially rules out the day trips.

Anyone started to look into it?

Was looking at the map and Ukraine is one serious big country. Second biggest in Europe. I would say there is some hinterland abou it.

I really home we get to play in Poland. Could fly to Berlin and make to Poland from there.

    Defo goin for a week.

If we can be team 4 in Group A we would be laughing! 3 games in Wrasrow(sp?) and could base ourselves there or close by! Was looking at a couple of days in Berlin as well...I'll hopefully get over for a little over 2 weeks.

Booked on the FunCampervan with the Captain. We're certs for Group A with Trap's luck. Grew up dreaming of going to a Championship with Ireland, so really gonna make the most of this.

One problem I have is I can't save anything living in London, so not sure how I'll fund it.

Im gonna base myself in krakow for this one. Its fairly handy to Warsaw, Warclow and Lviv, and accomodation will be cheap due to not hosting any games in the city. (plus there are direct flights from belfast)

Would be going for three weeks only getting married next year and honeymoon take priority for annual leave so will be a week max. Goin to couple it with an international stag of sorts.

Would be great if Ireland matches were in Warsaw. We could setup a new Warsaw Pact.

I would say Ryanair website will collapse once the draw is made.

I see tickets will be available on Uefa.com to fans after match draw are made.

Showing my age here but was in Germany in 88 for the whole tournament. We went over with the supporters club and stayed on for the final. One of the best three weeks ever. Definitely going to head over for a couple of games. Anyone looking for tickets should register on the Uefa website as tickets will go on sale again after the draw. Follow my team ticket seems to be the one to go for.

Lviv and Kharkiv, group B, are 1000km apart.
Kiev and Doentsk, group D, are 730km apart.

Warsaw and Wroclaw, group A, are 350km apart.
Gdansk and Poznan, group C, are 300km apart.

The draw is massive now... Poland and lots will be able to make it...Ukraine will seriously see a drop in numbers.

It's fairly central but it's still roughly 300 ks from both Lviv and Warsaw. If you are on top of your game when the draw is made you might be able to pick up some low cost flights but there will be stiff competition on that front.Pardon the pun.Krakow is supposed to be a cracking city.

This picture from Uefa, shows some what the huge distances between cities. Hopefully we get Poland and not Ukraine.

I'd guess a separate draw for the position in the group. They do like their razmatazz

Try mcrent Phil. That's who I rang to get my price, and they have a hige selection of campers.

I'm still looking for 2 people to jump in on ours. Can't remember if anyone was interested or not.

So can people let me know. (so far onboard there is 3L'pool fans and a durty manc)

going in this bad boy too. [IMG]

EDIT: There are way cheaper options Phil, and cheaper people to deal with, BUT as been said before, no one would insure you if travelling to the Ukraine. So of the options I found that would, mcrent were cheapest.

I have read it a couple of times that companies aren't allowing motorhomes to be brought from poland into the ukraine. Maybe it's only certain companies. (i saw it here too - www.worldwide-motorhome-hire.com/articles/euro-2012-poland-ukraine.html)

Just in case there's small print there when people are booking.

We've booked a £30 flight as far as berlin as an insurance if we get Poland. Could be a non-runner but worth it at that price!

I wouldn't think so myself, as far as I'm aware Poland and Ukraine are already penciled in with dates and venues, even UEFA would hardly do a draw for just 3 teams:confused:
