Hi, I know there's been rakes of threads discussing pros and cons of various phones and networks already, but I'm after one clear cut result please everyone... Hopefully, the outcome of this vote will help me finally decide on which handset to get ... So, whats your vote and why ? Thanks everyone
I voted HTC as it supports flash Only got the iPhone yesterday and haven't played with it yet, (bar siri)
HTC gets my vote, I have the desire, cracking phone... my sister has the sensation, and its fooking amazing!
I-phone all the way for me Garrett! Was never an apple advocate until I used my first 3gs and havent looked back since
Ive only ever had one smart phone, Samsung Galaxy S, and its fine but voted HTC because any of my mates who have used different brands, they always say HTC is their favourite. Any of my mates who say Iphone is best, have only ever used Iphone. Once they try something else they start slating Apple.
Thanks Guys, Looks like the HTC is the leader at the moment .... a mate of mine got one, swears by it but another one of the lads as a Galaxy and swears thats better. Between the pair of them, they've my head wrecked in terms of me trying to decide. Then, to top it all off, we've Ipods at home with all our music on, so selecting an Apple does make a degree of sense in terms of moving music on and off various peices of kit perhaps...
Had the new HTC and got rid and went back to iPhone HTC in my eyes has not got a patch on the iPhone that why there giving them away even on the small plans, but it depends on what u want
I'd be interesting in hearing your views on that, as to why you think it doesn't have a patch. It's it software, hardware, OS, GUI or app based or something else?
User friendly is a big thing, but for things like looking at the Internet it's hard to open a few pages at once, it over heats aswell, it was not just my HTC but same as my mates, touch screen was off a bit in times, over all it's the quality of the phone,
What phone was it out of interest? I have the HTC Desire, it's as good as the iPhone 4, no better and definitely no worse IMO... As for the Sensation, it makes the iPhone4 look like shit lol Dual core processor, iphone just can't keep up with it... And in terms of user friendly... I think Android will be a tough OS to beat... as its being so widely used now... I love the use of widgets aswell, and custom ROM's allowing you to do so much with the home screens, unlike the iPhone where they all look the same except a different wallpaper...
Go to google, type in "HTC Overheating" then type in "iPhone overheating" One seems to be reported a lot more than the other... I've never had a problem with the heat off my phone...
I have the HTC Desire S and never had a problem with it,this is my second HTC and the Mrs is still using my old one with no probs at all.The great thing the HTC phone have over the Iphone is the battery, the Iphone battery is built in.On the HTC its not so I picked up a couple of spares on ebay for less than €10,they are small so when going to games or out for a good while I just bring a spare. This is a huge advantage,as anybody with a smart phone will know the battery life is crap on them all.
I have an extension battery for the iPhone. Got it on eBay, jut plug it I to the charging socket. You just charge I like the iPhone and last an couple of hours if you are watching films etc on bus or plane (not those type of films ) One thing that annoys me about IPhone is flash is not supported, apart from that it's like a mini laptop. I rarely use the laptop these days. Sky mobile tv, twitter, betfair, paddypower and viber are all ya need. Don't know anything about other smartphones but 'iPhone till I die, IPhone till I die'
I have seen some of those iphone extension battery's been used they look awkward and still need to be plugged in.I just change the battery and that gives me anther day or so. Android are outselling the Iphone for a reason, while the Iphone is a great phone its over hyped like everything from Apple and overpriced.
Just bought a dual dock (charges phone + spare battery) thing for mine, and a spare battery... been meaning to do it with ages
