Massive respect to Billy Sharp who played and scored tonight just 3 days after he lost his 2 day old son
Took incredible guts. Take note Carlos Tevez. Also, fair play to the ref for showing some common sense and compassion and not booking him for the celebration.
To be fair to Tevez, he only wanted to be near his family. And 3 days after I lost my unborn child, I couldn't muster a smile let alone play football. I don't even think fair play is in order, he should be with his. Maybe my view is different because I've expereinced it. But there's a lot more to it than courage. Courage is having to tell all your supportive family and friends that all the gifts they've bought and all the happiness they've been feeling awaiting a little miracle isn't going to happen anymore. In context football doesn't even come into comparison. But if that is his way to grieve then so be it, and respect to him for that.
It might be the only way to take his mind and thoughts away from the tragic day Best wishes to him and his partner
What a story. Unbelievable strength this lad has shown to play a match and score just after he has lost someone so close. Thoughts are with him and the wife, worst thing in the world to have to go through I'm sure.
Fair play to the lad, the whole story is heart breaking. Fair play to the ref as well for using common sense and not booking him. I would say he experienced a wide range of emotions last night. Rip little louie x
It's not easy losing kids let alone go and play a match 2 days later his t shirt is a great touch rip Louie YNWA
Fair play to him , a very sad story and i hope he and his missus get through it. a minor point but i hope the ref didnt book him for the celebration (not that billy sharp would or should care)
