http://www.premierleague.com/page/Home/0,,12306,00.html Is this for real ? .... never even considered watching it, but if that scoreline is real then I'm sick as a pig I didn't watch it
And it was oh so sweet. So our result against Norwich wasn't the worst, we moved 1 point closer to them and clawed 5 goals back in goal difference.
Do we really need a thread on this lads? Fair enough we all enjoy the Manc's being embarrassed but let's not become small time and celebrating like it was a Liverpool victory.
I wouldn't usually watch the mancs but against City I had a feeling they could get rolled over.Had no idea they were going to embarrassing them of course.
We clawed at nothing, played shit in the final third against Norwich... and kept our GD the exact same
Compared to the scum, and based on this weekend, before it started we were 6 points behind them and 17 goals worse off, we are now only 5 points behind them and 12 goals worse off
I know, but we still did nothing for ourselves... Could be a good weekend of football for us all the same if QPR get even a point from chelsea... they are 1-0 up there now though! City are the team to beat right now though.. we have City coming up in 5 weeks then I think? Hopefully we can go there and get a result... and have a few wins between that
Hey mate, I genuinely hadn't seen the match and had only gone on line when I saw the above scoreline (I was going to take a peep at my fantasy footie team actually) ... I couldn't beleive my eyes and the fantasy footie part of the premier league site can be unreliable, so I was wondering if this score was actually true or not (granted, I could have spent a few minutes searching other websites, but given I was also on this site at the time, seemed a good place to ask). As the two teams involved in this result are the current league leaders, I do feel it's worth its own thread (having moved on from original reason for posting) ... the fact that it refers to the mancs getting embarrissed is only a bonus, in my mind. You are spot on though, we should focus on our own team as a rule rather than go on too much about other teams & no doubt about it, there is plenty to discss regarding LFC.
Couldnt believe that scoreline either mate..a stunning result for city....disastrous for the mancs,we also could have put 4-5 past them last week in the second half, with the chances we had..and they had 11 men
Bout time the got there come upins , they always get played off the park and still fluke wins (against Norwich) , delighted they got trashed today , hopefully many more to come
delighted the scum got battered but as usual we waste the chance to make up some real ground with chelsea losing to
Not really arsed what utd or citeh do unless they're playing lpool but this is kwality!
ive been saying for a wile that this manc shower are not the same threat as previous years and were handed the league last season rather than winning it the heart has been riped out of this team and they wont replace it verry easy scholes giggs is all but done the nevilles ronaldo ferdinand ****.d you dont replace that kind of loyalty and passion easy these days as lfc found out a couple of decades ago how hard it was to replace loyal and dedicated one team mostley local players a team like that only comes once in a lifetime and fergi had his
I've heard that at least 5 times in the last 20 years...herd it when schmeichel, irmin and cantona left, when RVN, yorke and cole left, when keane left, when ronaldo and tevez left...etc etc etc. And they still rebuild and they still win titles, doesnt matter who they lose coz the one common denominator throughout all that time is the demento at the helm...and as long as he's there they'll continue to win and sure as night follows day. its what he does. Historically they start slow and have a stonking 2nd half of the season - only this yr they had a good start. but they'll definitely get top 2 easy peasy and prob a trophy as well. writinig them off and saying they're finished is madness. i saw odds of 7/4 on them winning the title after yesterdays game...thats worth a tenner if you were a totally neutral gambler. we'll see how good city are when silva is injured (easily the best player in the premiership, and by a huge distance...best compliment i can pay hinm is he wouldnt look outta place on the barcelona first 11) and they lose a couple or get a few sh**e decisions go agaisnt them. utd still favourites to win it purely coz they've seen it all before, this defeat has happened with over 3/4 of the season to go yet and they wont panic on the run-in.
