Just stumbled upon this on another site. Every photo is horrific so be warned. It's incredible what human beings are capable of doing to their fellow man: http://m.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/10/world-war-ii-the-holocaust/100170/
Mind numbing stuff, cheers for sharing Paddser, some dreadful images but they give some incite to the devestation of the holocaust. Seen elsewhere some dickhead moaning because he felt "uncomfortable" with the images of a dead Gadaffi been dragged through the streets. The **** was responsible for similair atrocities (obviously not on the same scale) and it's just a shame the images of him wern't of him been gutted alive by about 5 lads with machete's.
Jesus those are horrific. It's so horrible to think that the war was as recent as it was.... Jesus. that certainly hit home.
jesus, incredible to think that this happened so recently, and like said above that some people try to deny it happened. absolutley shocking images
Shocking and disgusting images but worthy to be spread around to all to show people what happened and what maybe happening to lesser extent in other parts of the world today under different people
My god, truly shocking stuff. It's amazing how the crazed ideas of one man can have such an effect on millions of lifes
Its shocking stuff alright. And to think a lot of them SS soldiers were only in there early 20's when carrying out their orders to do that kind of stuff. I recently read a very good book on this period of German history. Its fictional but the author writes the book from the point of view of a young SS doctor. Anybody interested in this kind of history should read it. Its called the Kindly Ones.
Ive been to Dachau Concentration Camp twice -its on the outskirts of Munich. Truly horrific. Even now the birds do not sing there..
horrific stuff what i would have given to be in the allied forces and blow those fcuking nazi cnuts to hell
Seen both Dachau and Auschwitz and they are not on the same scale. Obviously with Dachau being in Germany it is sanitized and mostly you can just see the footprint of where the buildings used to be. But Auschwitz in Poland is completely untouched since the day it was liberated and it is scary.
Some horrific images there,Axel96 put up a link to those last week as well. Those SS Women were supposed to be every bit as brutal as the men.
shocking stuff there..we should all be grateful that we never had to live in that era or be apart of it..lucky we are!
The horrifying thing there is, we have lived through other appalling stuff in our era. Between 1975-1979 over 1,300,000 were killed in Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge, who followed the same principles as the Nazi party in their ethnic cleansing campaign. In 1994, over 800,000 were killed in Rwanda in a mass genocide campaign. As Paddser said in the OP, its incredible to think what human beings are capable of doing to their fellow man.
Also Pinochets reign of terror in chile in 70's 80's and the failure to prosecute him, or even the failure to extradite him from britain for crimes against humanity while he spent some time as a guest of that evil cow thatcher in her house. ( she must be due to pop her clogs any day now )
been to the camp in sachenhausen, eary place also but not on the scale of the larger camps. Its no wonder that the germans are still embarressed about this. What an absolute monster hitler was
Horrific, the sad thing is , everybody has the capacity to love and care and destroy, but it only takes one person to destroy because of greed and selfishness. He chose this way, and for me, death isn't justice
