First match thread i've ever started , never been beaten in Anfield so hopefully the form continues with the threads i start Need to kick on from the Mancs match now and take our chances against these! An early goal would be nice.
We were all saying that someone is due a battering, but i don't think it'll be against these lot. Norwich are a well drilled side and are starting to take their chances. After the performance against the Mancs i'd be feeling confident that we should be able to take these comfortably enough. They won't be any pushovers (as they showed at old trafford) but this is the kind of game we should be winning if we are looking to push on for the rest of the season. Think the only change will be Henderson in for Lucas. 3-1 is my prediction!!
Can't believe what I'm reading, these are crap, every game is a must win but this is a handy one for us, they had a go v utd and failed, and should have got at least a point, just goes to show how shit utd are, we should have beat them, we were far the better team, as for Norwich we should be looking at a few goals and clean sheet.
Reina Kelly Skrtel Agger Enrique Adam Henderson Suarez Gerrard Downing CarrollNo Lucas for this game so would like to see Henderson start through the centre in this game as against the Mancs was the first time we really got the chance to see him there and I felt he was really effective when he came on. Would also like to see Agger and Skrtel start together realistically this is probably the season where we have to ease Carra out and these are the exact games to do it. Expect nothing less than a win here.
Any game without lucas is a good game, can't see why they think so highly of him, he gives away more ball than he keeps. Great to see stevie back. Would like to see Coates given a game and the Norwich game would be the right platform to give him a run. I know he had a baptism of fire against spurs but this might be the right game for him to show what he can do. I agree with Phil, henderson needs to be played in midfield, its where he worked well at sunderland, i know its needed at times but i am not a fan of playing players out of position. Carroll needs to put in a good performance seriously lacking so far. perhaps start with Kuyt and bring on Carroll when the game is in our hands and that way he might get some confidence back when there is no pressure on to score. Heres to another good game. Cant wait for the swansea game will be first game of season for me and first time in the kop. been in every other part of the pitch
WOW, you are defo on a wind up. WUM Lucas gives the ball away least of all our players. At least get something correct before you say things like that. Or should all our players not play because they give away more ball than Lucas?

To be fair, this is one of the games we could rest lucas for as we should not really require and expert holding midfielder. Lucas is very very important for us this year because if he gets injured, we have nobody else in there who can really do his job. Gerrard could be able but its not natural for him so therefore giving lucas a well earned break in games like these could be a good idea. Maybe play Gerrard and Hendo or gerrard and adam CM.

Think that is the team which will play and looking at it, its quiet a interesting one.The one change id make would be Kuyt for Bellamy as i think Bellamy Brings something to the side which Kuyt doesnt.Bellamy tends to stay wide, where as Kuyt cuts inside too much and leaves Kelly or Johnson out on the right on their todd. It will be interesting to see how Adam and Gerrard get on together.I thought Adam was excellent against the Mancs,and seems to be improving every game.Now with the Skip playing beside him it can only improve his confidence.
