Anyone recommend which title to go for? Was always a Pro Evo on the PS2 - I still think Pro Evo 5 was the best footy game I've played. Anyway, I've been majorly disappointed with all the PES titles released on the PS3 to date. Re FIFA, I never fully warmed to this, maybe I just loved the gameplay from the old Pro Evo on PS2. However of the FIFA games played on PS3, I found FIFA 09 the best for some reason and still enjoy the odd game of it - never took to the 10 or 11 versions. So back to my original question, anyone here played enough of both PES 2012 or FIFA 12 to recommend which one to go for from a realisim / gameplay point of view? Cheers.
Haven't played PES. so not qualified t make a comment. However, I know of some who have/do play both, and Fifa12 is where it's at right now.
Never took to FIFA and never will, no matter what they do it always comes down to cretin moves that never fail, that's just me, love pes but 2010 was ok 2011 was the worst ever but 2012 they have hit the nail on the head, it's class and only after a few hours I'd say it's there best one yet, you'll have to play it to find out urself, I'd give it a 9/10 only cos anfield is not in it,
FIFA 12 is quite awful at the moment. There are sooooo many bugs and issues with it. The game is NOT fun! Haven't played PES, nbt apparently its breathtakingly good. So I'll be getting that until FIFA is sorted out, as its wrecking my head.
elvis im telling ya mate pes12 is class, its so real, and the one thing i love with it is that you cant just run by players when your using ladyboy or messi, you have to play football.
At the moment, i would stay the hell away from Fifa. Its pure Muck. Some of the features which you pay extra to use in the game such as Ultimate team arent working correctly. There is alot of issues with disconnections.Just have a look on the EA Forum.Alot of unhappy people out there who forked out hard earned money for it. Cant Comment on PES 12, But id rent it before i buy just to check it out.Dont waste your money on FIFA 12, and this is coming from some one who has all the fifa's sitting him front of him from Fifa 08.
Ron I have all the fifa's since FIFA 97 and I'm telling them to stay away. I've been a PES fan since PES6(one of the greatest games of all time) then they ruined themselves with PES 2008(one of the worst games ever) But no one cared as they kept running the servers, and still do for PES 6, and theres hundreds of thousands of people that STILL play it online. Then PES 2009 was epic. Then 2010 was decent enough. But FIfa WC 2010 and FIFA 11 were amazing, and PES didnt have a pot to piss in tbh. But now, FIFA have royally fcuked up in my eyes. And after seeing reviews and watching videos. And MR KING KENNY's testamony, I'll be defo buying it. As he seems to have similar thinkings to me regarding the PES serious. And credit where it's due, PES was the better game for a couple of years. And with the level of customization you can do through downloading etc. It will be even better.
What bugs are on fifa atm? I haven't noticed an awful lot myself tbh... PES 2009 was and is the best footy game ever made, closely followed by PES 6.. On 2009 I had a hacked xbox so the version I had was hacked to have all the real names etc... was epic! Fifa 12 is the benchmark for games for me atm though, 11 was crap, far too easyy... but I had no other choice but to play it as there was fookall else around!
Possibly, but you can donwload patches for it, and it gives you all new faces, jerseys, chants names everything. But the graphics are WAY WAY WAY better than FIFA as it is, and all the big teams have real names and faces etc. google it, and see for yourself, it looks quality.
Teams: Not really any fake ones (i dont think) http://www.onlyproevolutions.com/2011/08/team-list-revealed-for-pes-2012.html Not sure about players, but you can download update packs off the web to update them all to real names
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Evolution_Soccer_2012 Check this out, it has a list of all the licensed stuff in it. Theres lots, and look at all the national teams in it, WAY more than FIFA
5 Reasons why PES12 is better than FIFA 12 http://www.epltalk.com/5-reasons-why-pes-2012-is-better-than-fifa-12-35977 For the past seven days, I’ve played both FIFA 12 and PES 2012. It’s been years since I’ve had an opportunity to play the games on a powerful video game console. For the past few years, I’ve played FIFA on the Nintendo Wii (which was fun, but not a complete experience). So now that I have a Xbox 360, I was able to immerse myself in the games and play them without a bias or a loyalty to one more than another. Let me state that I enjoyed playing both FIFA 12 and PES 2012. But now that I’ve had a chance to test FIFA 12 and PES 2012 to their limits, the conclusion I’ve reached is that PES 2012 is far better. Not that there’s anything wrong with FIFA 12. It’s just that PES 2012 is so much better. Here are my five reasons: 1.PES 2012 graphics are far superior. The graphics in FIFA 12 look like a computer game, while PES 2012 looks very close to watching a game on television. As a perfect example, my wife walked in to our living room the other day and didn’t notice I had a controller in my hands. She looked at the TV screen and thought I was watching a real match. I was playing PES 2012. 2.PES’s gameplay is better. Playing PES 2012 feels more intuitive. It seems easier to pass the ball between your teammates, and it’s easier to get past defenders. As a result, there’s less frustration with PES 2012 compared to playing FIFA 12. Bottom line: PES 2012 is more fun to play than FIFA 12. 3.The level of detail in PES is incredible. The amount of detail that Konami put into this game is incredible. The player’s faces really look like the footballers. The players on the field look and act a lot more like the real footballers. In comparison, the players on FIFA 12 (for the most part) seem more generic. Yes, they look like the real stars, but the level of detail isn’t as refined. A perfect example is Robbie Keane of LA Galaxy. On FIFA 12, he’s svelte, lightning fast and does his trademark cartwheels with ease. If you’ve seen him score for the Galaxy recently, you’ll know the difference. 4.I love PES 2012′s in-game communication. It may seem like a small and insignificant feature, but I love how you can trade messages with your opponent after key moments in games such as great saves or goals. By pressing a couple of buttons on your controller, you can congratulate your opponent on a nice shot — which is displayed on-screen for both of you to see. It’s especially helpful when you’re playing someone online. It helps you connect to your opponent, whether they’re a stranger or friend. 5.FIFA 12 is too much hype and marketing. FIFA 12 by EA Sports looks like a hot date. A one-night stand who is beautiful on the outside, wears all of the right clothes and has that knowing look. PES 2012 is that partner who is beautiful on the inside, and it’s someone you can develop a long-term relationship with. Compared side by side, I truly believe that PES 2012 is light years better than FIFA 12. PES 2012 is by no means perfect. The biggest complaint is the licensing agreements, but there are patches available that can quickly resolve the issue. The second biggest grumble is the quality of commentating. Martin Tyler and Alan Smith are significantly better than Jon Champion and Jim Beglin. The co-commentator Beglin is difficult to hear and understand at times. It sounds like he’s mumbling. But those issues aside, PES 2012 is highly recommended. So too is FIFA 12. But I have to give PES 2012 the edge. It’s far more enjoyable.
oh god i was just gonna give pes 2012 a try when i just read that jim fookin beglin is one of the commentators no thanks to that
i know this is slightly off topic but would anyone recommened another good sports game like say madden or nba
Meh... I'm not saying that PES isn't all of the above, as I havent played the new title yet. But FIFA12 has always been a better game imo. I don't need reason to like it, I'm just into it more.
IMO, NBA games are fun, but not long term playing fun... few weeks and I would be bored of it... Madden, really good games, not bought one in years though so I don't know about the new ones, but they are a bit of craic, but as a footy fan I just don't think you can beat footy games sportwise.. That PES guy is just one opinion though, I'll have to see for myself. I don't think PES can beat FIFA's longevity... I never get sick of career mode in fifa fifa 11 lasted me a full year, I only stopped when the release date was announced for 12 And the head to head seasons makes online gameplay fun... for what it's worth... graphics don't beat gameplay for me.
I just bought pes12, so I'll give a user account soon. Regarding your Robbie keane point. That is what FIFA makes him out to be. He said same for celebration
Cool Elvis - I always find it funny how some people need to prove to the other that 1 game is better than the other - its all about personel preference I guess.
NHL 12.What a game.Love the fcuking thing.Must get back to playing it instead of that Garbage fifa 12.
