Anyone know where they are based and meet up? i know it used to be Branagains but now thats Nevada Smiths so woundering if its still there. Any information would be great .
Howie whats that place like? My Brother is living down there at the moment, and i think he is heading out for the game on saturday.Should i recommend this spot?
If its still like the way when we used to go there i would defo tell him to go there. Half time at matches they would have finger food etc and the hottest women serving behind the bar.
It's OK-probably the best place in Cork to watch the matches but that doesn't say much as there's no competition.I only go in there because they have the dodgy channels and I know 100% the LFC match will get priority when theres other games on. I could write a book on things wrong with the place but I won't all I will say is tell your brother avoid the screen in the back to the right. That's the supporters club spot who have the combined footballing IQ of a McFlurry and it would actually be bad for his blood pressure to hear the things they come out with so swerve that particular part of the bar. If he's on his todd,a few of us off here be in there if he fancies a beer with us. To be fair, this is still the case and the wimmin in there is deffo a redeeming factor for the place!
Cheers Howie, Ill pass all the info on to him.Id say the women and the food might just swing it for him before the football any way.
i.e I'd ask them where their Athens tickets ended up.beauts.anglers sports lounge off blarney st if he.s northside.Friars walk tavern on southside.avoid if Celtic are on same time.it all goes a bit 1916
Brannigans not a bad spot. Nice woman, bad pint and you have to be in early to get a good spot to view the match.
Ooooo I know, I got the call to let me know. Its a fact, when you go to Cork, your not safe with you around.
Went in there for the West Brom game the other week and they had beer mats with the rags logo.Avoid like the plague.
in my 7.5 years in Cork ive never been inside the place. dont venture across over the bridge much to be honest. although I did on thursday evening after work and shelled out 23 lids for a haircut
It's not the supporters club, but the new sports bar, the woolshed Baa is a class spot to watch a match now. They have screens everywhere, a big screen up the back, serve food and they have table service and if Liverpool are playing it will be on. Cork has never had a proper sports bar in the City centre before which is bizarre. It's doing really well. http://www.woolshedbaa.com/
Ya i watched the carling cup final and the fa cup final here along with the manchester derby. usually very busy for big games. what they have which draws a bit of a crowd is the have stadium style seating (small section) on front of the big screen which makes the place a little different from every where else. There was a good sing song in here after the carling cup.
