Has anyone else done this. I did it to mine a few nights ago and apart from being able to get different ringtones and being able to chance the colours of the bubbles on the SMS I can't really see any advantage. If someone else has done it and knows and good apps/tweaks can they post them here.
I downloaded a €100 sat nav for free when I jailbroke mine so if that's not o benifit I don't know what is mate
What one was that Liam. That's why I started this seeing what the best apps are so I could get then. Still trying to work it out.
It's just you can get other apps that aren't from apple/iTunes and can get different features on your phone. You're warranty is gone if you do it, but you can unjailbreak it. Just if the phone is off and decides not to turn back on you won't be able to unjailbreak it.
Have you got Cydia and did you get installous? That allows you to get access to the app market, and you can search all the apps like on the apple store, it has everything the apple store has and more, and it's all free. theres also a way you can get your iPhone to download torrents, and music and videos etc. Its really handy and has lots of benefits.
I'm on the iPhone 4 and having the same issue can't seem to get installous! When I jailbroke the 3GS it was just in the manage section of Curia but it ain't thier anymore!
Is there a jailbreak for the latest update does anyone know? Wanna update my phone so I can get sky go.
Did mine a few weeks back. I got installous by following a youtube vid. You just need to add a source in cydia. Here's a youtube vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4u2edks6A8 Just youtube whatever version your phone is so you have the correct version of installous. Maybe that doesn't matter. I have iphone 4.3.3 and installous 4. Withing Installous, ive gotten any free apps I wanted. Colorsplash - fun to mess about with. Also got angry birds, skysports score centre, whatsapp, Word lense (if you hold the camera at text it translated it to Spanish and vise versa.) Photobucket - Very easy to get pictures from your camera roll online. I messed about with some tweaks, barrel effect for my apps on my springboard, graviboard and gave my springboard a 3d effect. I removed them as they'll eat my battery. Downloading XMBC player would be another option I suppose. SB setting is handy, You can turn on/off your 3g/wifi etc with a swipe than go to setting and turn on/off from there. Looking for more tips if anyone has anyway?
