Ten years ago tomorrow i was at one of the greatest ever ireland games.

So many memories from this game, kellys sending off, stan nearly scoring an og, holland with 4 strikers on the pitch at one stage, Roy keanes greatest ever game. The atmosphere was one of the best ive ever experienced.

Unbelievable day. The Craic with the Dutch before and after will also live long in the memory. Was a real buzz about international football back then, not so much now.

Hard to believe that was 10 years ago. It's a shame that international football has lost it's appeal and I'm not sure if we will witness an occasion like that again.

Doesn't time fly. Remember that match like it was yesterday. Holland must have had about 5 or 6 strikers on for the last 20 minutes or so.

Oh the good old days. Don't think Ireland's national team will ever be the same again. Different era with different players who are all caught up in themselves.

Unbelievable result that day, and they did it with 10 men. Gary Kelly getting sent off.

Later that day, England win 5-1 in Munich.

Just compare it to what went on last night in the new Landsdowne. Probably the best atmosphere ever at an Irish game, certainly in Dublin. Just thinking today also of the playoff in Anfield with the Dutch in 95. We were taken apart on the pitch but the crowd gave the team fantastic support, If that was now they would have been booed off at halftime and the pubs in Liverpool would be wedged for the second half.
