I always liked him but he won't fit the new profile but I here were possibly in for him... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14708743.stm Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun has posted on Twitter that he is on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge. Benayoun, 31, has seen just one minute of action for the Blues this season and looks to be surplus to requirements following the arrival of fellow midfielder Juan Mata from Valencia. It has been rumoured Benayoun would be included in an offer from Chelsea for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric. "Negotiating with several teams... news soon," wrote Benayoun. Newcastle have also been linked with the Israel captain, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool last summer on a free transfer. Benayoun was restricted to 10 appearances for the club last season due to an Achilles injury, which kept him out for six months.

Would be a step backwards. He is exactly what Arsenal don't need. Unlucky with his injury last season but could never see how he would make a big impact at Chelsea.
JenChang88 Jen Chang E.g. Italian media suggesting LFC have contacted Lazio today about Mauro Zarate in regard to a loan move.
Personally, I don't want Yossi back ... We're moving forward, not backwards and I'd see his return as us going backwards now ... I wish him well, but somewhere else not at LFC.
Have to give him his jew, boom boom! He was a good player for us, but thought the grass was greener on the chav side, so no thanks!
we are going forward so we dont need him back and as chris1892 said he thought the grass was greener on the chav side... so did some one else but we got 50mill for him
Wouldn't like him back, especially if the deal being mentioned includes Meireles going the other way. Think we have enough options in midfield without him.
didnt yossi leave because of lack of game time so if he comes back what makes him think he will get anymore, imo good servent to the club when he was here but had his chance
