Liverpool have confirmed the transfer of Emiliano Insua to Sporting Lisbon. The Argentine left-back has signed a five-year deal with the Portuguese club. Insua told his new fans “I am delighted with many ‘ganas’ to start training and playing. The Sporting is one of the big Portuguese clubs and is recognized for her work in training players. Club is looking for a win and win titles. I will give everything for Sporting.” Best off luck , Sporting sounds like a very good move for Insua
too slow a player to have any hope of ever making an impact at a half decent club in a half decent league. Off to play golf now!!!
I didn't see that coming but delighted he has moved on all the same. Of course I hope he does well over there. The pace of the Portuguese League should be more suited to him.
Nice one another one out the door, were getting there slowly but surely, best of luck in the future to him.
Best of luck to him in his new club. Looked a real prospect when we saw him first, but wether he was "found out" or had his confidence murdered went backwards badly. Yet more evidence of us doing our business behind closed doorrs, not even a whisper of this move till it was done. Adds a new excitement to being a Liverpool supporter for me, every morning we're likely to wake up to find a deal has been struck that we knew nothing about.
did he leave on a free? Think he will be decent in a different league, bit slow for the EPL. Filled a gap during a difficult period, I wish him all the best.
Yeah, I remember watching his first few games and been well impressed with the lad......sadly he never lived up to his early potential!! But I also think there were times when Rafa over-played him (cus he had no other option) and that didnt help his liverpool career neither!!
