    Anyone watch it last night. Caught the last few contestants. Heard Daithi taught one of the contestants.

    Always knew summer was over and it'd be soon back to school when The Rose of Tralee was on.

    Oh daithi is terrible presenting it. Won't watch it when he presenting. Devi ate end of summer holidays when it on.

    What the Hell is the Point in this Show? A waste of money. The Lovely Girl contest in Father Ted was more entertaining than this. The women on it, are as Boring as ****.

    I agree its very dated but I heard on the radio earlier in the week that its viewing figures on RTE are huge, something like 800k. Advertisers will pay handsomely for those slots plus I suppose its huge tourism in the town itself.

    Watched it for 5 mins last night and I wanted to punch the Philadelpia rose in the face!
    Also wanted to punch Daithi in the face too!

    I just cannot watch it, it is so shit. I haven't seen a single minute of the show in about 10 years I'd say. It is vomit inducing.

    Missus had me watch the last 25 mins of it. Hate watching the stupid thing! I swear if I was in that crowd, your man that did all the thank you's at the end would have had a boot fcuked at his face! Pain in the a$$ listening to him put the place asleep.

    I wonder how much the Tax payer contributes towards this competition though.
