Just thought I'd gauge a bit of advide on this before I back it coz I'm thinking 200 lids Liverpool win v Sunderland Tipp win (handicap of -4) v Dublin Kerry win v Mayo Odds are about 3/2 So I was thinking 200 lids to get a 300 profit. Really cant see any of em slipping up. Any thoughts? (didnt know which thread to put it in coz it's a bit of a combination of sports)
Sounds good Gary. For me I would be worried about backing The Reds.Usually when I do I end up putting a curse on them. The other 2 are certainties.
Me too, they havent the best of records in opening weekends of the new season - granted in the last 10 years most opening fixtures have been away.
Plus Fat Head has a nasty habit of spoiling the party.Still think we'll win but wouldn't be confident enough to go big on it.
If you can spare the cash, I'd go for it, you should only gamble what you can afford. So think about losing it, and how would you feel? If its not too bad, then go for it, think I might have a nibble at it myself.
Teams have no form and a lot of changes on the opening day so for me it's a risky treble, what price is the Tipp Kerry double?
When read title, i thought was a bit earlier in the morning to be on the large trebles but after reading your proposal, if it comes in would say you will be skulling them Risky treble, as no form guide like others said. Tipp and Kerry seems like good bet but not sure if Sunderland game will be as easy to call. Id put us in a small treble myself though but wouldnt risk 200
I'm going to Croker Sunday and could be cheering against you mate. Hope the bet is still running by then! Best of luck.
Quiet abit to be lumping on, but I'd leave the reds out. It's the first game of the season and with new players gelling you just don't know what will happen.
Don't think i'd risk putting Liverpool in there. Maybe consider the dublin minors to beat waterford on Sunday instead, 8/15.
Having watched the Waterford minors a few times this year i don't think i'd risk betting against them. They made 6 changes to the team that lost to Clare and played Kilkenny off the pitch in their last game. I'm not saying that they'll beat Dublin but if they play anywhere close to the way they did against Kilkenny they'll have a very big chance.
Lost 200 blips on Best Mate at Leopardstown a few years back. Not a nice feeling I must say. Also hate trebles spread out over time, the 1st one always fcuks up EDIT: The Reds kick off the new season against Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday afternoon with Dalglish hoping to make it seven straight opening day wins as Liverpool boss. Get on it Gary!
