If you go to see one film in the cinema this year, it should be Super 8. Went to see it this evening. Thought it was very good, a proper cinema film.:)

Just seen it tonight, nothing new for adults, but the children might get a scare or 2.

    Overall, it wasn't bad.

Goonies / Stand By Me / Alien and a few others thrown in. Good watch all the same.

Id agree with that, ET too. I enjoyed it I have to say, brought me back to watching those classic 80s flicks, the kids were excellent in it. As said earlier, is a good screener version out there;)

Seen this months ago, and I thought it was awful, films like this DO NOT need a fcuking morale story, keep them for teh Jew hating company that is Disney.

Terribly terribly disappointed by this film.
Too much of fcuk all happens, and then a little bit of action.

This was what I really wanted to say in my post... but went for the child-friendly version. ;)

Gotta say, was bitterly disappointed in this flick.

Not a great film. Its basically a goonie's spin off.

Was really disappointed, went in expecting something totally different but i supposed the 12s certificate should have warned me.

Probably a decent kids film but too derivative of E.T. / The Goonies

Interested to hear the views here. Everyone I know in work and my mates who went to see it thought it was a very enjoyable show. I watch a hell of a lot of movies but I dont judge them on plot, orginality, acting, sound effects etc. I ask myself at the end of the film was that worth watching, and I my opinion this was one of the best I saw in the cinema this year. Different strokes for different folks. It actually got a high score on rottentomatoes.com which I was suprised as i am usually the opposite of it.

It's kind of like when your told a film is really shit, and you watch it, you think its good because you were expecting the worst.

I was led to believe this was going to be epic and a lot darker than it seemed, and thusly was then let down because it didnt meet expectations.

thats why I no longer read reviews, watch trailers, spoilers etc. so I don't get hopes up or down.

That and it was just downright disappointing, very weak film
