34 year old Naoki Matsuda who represented Japan at the 2002 World Cup died yesterday, 2 days after collapsing while training due to a suspected cardiac arrest. He was rushed to hospital on Tuesday but never regained conciousness. R.I.P.
Ive been saying this for years now, There is something very strange with alot of young men who play sport dying so early in their life. RIP.
I just think the levels of fitness now are so high, players have never been put through such physical stress on a consistent basis. It will show up little weaknesses/defects in the heart that would never have been put under such strain even 6-7 years ago. Very sad to see young men dying unnecessarily.
