    Available on a free from Newcastle.Think he might be worth a punt if Alberto's Agent eventually stops talking rubbish and gets him a team in Italy.I think he could do a job.I know he's another centre midfielder but he can also play on the right,is 28,English and a scouser.Think we could loan Shelvey and Spearing out.What ye guys think?

    He's a Blue aswell, Good player mind you just a bad personality. Though he seems to have settled.

    Certainly would fit in with FSG sabermatics though.

    I think he said enough.He obviously knew his days were numbered.He's probably
    still bitter about having to stay a home with the reserves.

    I don't think it's that mate . I think he genuinely loves Newcastle but I think with the sale of nolan and Carroll and now enqriue he is annoyed as he believes the club should be pushing on but instead they are going back wards selling all their best players.

    I'd imagine his contract situation hasn't helped either.

    I believe he feels for the fans of Newcastle, they are the ones get ripped off, he's right Newcastle going to be in relegation battle this season, they got 35 million for Andy Carroll and owners promised the money will be spend in the summer, It won't be they have lost Nolan, they are going lost Barton who was their best player last year in my opinion and enqriue will be going aswell.

    I thought I saw in one of the articles I read about the owners strategy that players with troubles off the field but a lot of talent are looked at because they come a lot cheaper. Not saying we should go for Barton(wouldn't touch him personally)but signing him isn't as far fetched in my mind as it would have been before I read that.
