Bit of a rascal isn't he He had the potential to be a fairly decent footballer, but its been well and truly tarnished by events on and off the pitch.
This might sound like a stupid question, but what the hell was he doing on a night out in Liverpool last night? Is he suspended this weekend does anyone know?

very surprised he didn't make bail...In Ireland you could murder someone on the monday and 9/10 you would be out on bail...it must have been a serious assault...i don't know how the categorise assault in England, but i wonder what the max penalty is for common assault...
sounds a bit strange that the Lad who was Bailed is Facing a more serious Charge than Joey Barton but he wasn't granted Bail... maybe there's more to it than we're Hearing
joey barton jesus thank god he never came near liverpool fc as a player. he is a discrace to the game of proffesional football. its not the first time iv seen him in trouble. id say he thinks he has the freedom to just box anyone he likes at anytime. i dont like the cops but i hope they gave him a few boxes back lol
that lad is pure scum and doesnt realise how lucky he is on 30/40 grand a week - he'll never learn him and allardyce are made for each other!
agree with most posts here, doesnt realise how lucky he is. another good player not making the most of their talent.
Maybe we'll get him on the cheap now only kiddin' any manager would be mad to take him. If he does get another opportunity he really needs to grow up.. he'll not be happy until he's behind bars. He really needs to wake up and realise how lucky he is.
He'll end up in the championship if they do cancel his contract. He is an easy target for people who want cheap press now.
if i was alladice id sack him and them sack myself lol even though they were robbed yeasterday against poksy chelsea
