I have to admit, not being bravado, I wouldnt be thinking about the consequences myself either. With my wife and kid in the house Id be protecting them. There is no way this guy could have known the Burglar wasnt going to attack him or do some serious damage to him. Its just a tragic story. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK...ar_Bennell_In_Salford_But_Will_Not_Be_Charged
Serves the burglar right, someone breaks into my house, when my wife and child are there. I'm not taking and fcuking chances. He could kill us, torture, whatever. Prick shouldnt have been in my house in the first place. Scum is all they are.
Every man would want to defend his castle and his family so if say quiet of alot of people would do the same.
There was two cars stolen in ferns a couple of weeks ago a Merc and a golf belong to the one family. There wasn't that much juice in the golf and it was found a few miles away. Last week the thief returned to the house to take the car again at about 11.30 at night. The owner heard the car starting and went to see what was happening. Some scumbag with a balaclava and a metal bar told him not to come out if he valued his life and fcuked off with the golf again.
****in' shameful the way the law protects the burgular more than the home owner etc .... Simple solution, allow us all to have guns to protect ourselves (given the criminals already have them !) and allow trespassers to be shot if on our properties ...end of story.
prick got his comeupins big time, but its just sad for both familys, i know id do any think to keep my family safe, that guy that killed him was only doing what any other man would do, dont think he ment to kill him, but he'll have to carry that on his shoulders for the rest of his life, 2 wrongs dont make a right
the robber got what he deserved if someone broke into my house and put my family at risk id probably do the same
No sympathy, enter someone's home illegally & you deserve what you get, who knows what these scumbags are carrying or intent on doing?
Boll*x to that, justice for the ordinary man. This scumbag got what he deserved. Our place was broken into a few years ago and the first thing the scumbag did was go to the kitchen and take out 4 knives and placed them strategically along his route in case he was tackled. That was the warning that I needed to know next time I'll have the upper hand. God help the next chap that ever tries it. These scumbags only understand one thing.
I dont believe someone who wants to rob something from your house deserves to die... but in the above incident, one of the four intruders was carrying a machete!! Fcuk'im. You dont need a weapon and 3 other lads to rob a house. They couldve been looking to rape aswell as rob.
But there's the problem mate, no one knows the true intentions of an intruder when they do break into your house and come in .... furthermore, even if someone starts out intending only to steal from you, if they are in your house and suddently get startled by say a light getting turned on, who knows what the fuk they will do in panic. If they come in, they deserve what they get imho ....
I'd be against that. It makes perfect sense if you assume that every householder is a rational normal person like me and you. But theres too many lunatics, and God knows you can't have lunatics randomly holding fire arms in their homes. You're effectively talking about legalising guns. That's heading towards the American system, and look at all the shit it brings with it. I do agree that every man should have the right to do what he likes to an intruder. But I'd be fully against anything leaning towards legalising guns though.
Not being funny here mate, but the entire problem revolves around the fact that at the moment, the lunatics already have guns and other weapons & as a rule, won't even just keep them in their homes (we are the ones who don't have them) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My experiences (few as they have been) with the Gardai over the years have generally been good, but unfortunitely they are neither equiped properly in terms of resources or staff, to properly control the criminals. The preferable solution here is recruit and arm more Gardai to help fight crime, but sadly it seems we as a nation cannot do that.
My understanding of this is that the rank and file what to be armed but the top brass don't. I've often discussed this topic with people, I think their thinking is that if everybody tools up then shootings go up and unfortunately innocent people get killed literally in the cross fire as is happening already. There is the armed response is there anyway. It is frustrating that some scumbag breaks into your house, normally makes shite of the place and if you confront him ( most of them are men ) then you can get in trouble yourself, it's seems ridiculous. Anyway the law is as ass in Ireland. Interesting one actually is the use of " excess force " is that I think the idea is that you're upstairs I think the idea is that you're meant to let yerman alone as he is not a physical threat but I think it's open season if he comes upstairs. A lot of these crimes are drug related as well so even if you give the dope a belt the moron probably won't feel it until the following day anyway. Drugs being a massive pain killer and physical stimulant. I was watching one of those cop shows on the tele one night and a fellow cracked the glass in the back of a cop car by banging his head and it barely registered with him. When he woke up the following morning he shat himself.
The problem is, some people break into homes and plan to sexually abuse and terrorise also. If it was a loved one, I could be of the opinion they do deserve to die. I know a south african guy I used to work with, he told me when he was about 16 (early/mid 1990's) he was woken by gun shots in the middle of the night. Turns out, his neighbours were being burgled and the owner shot the guy on his land, killing him. They cops were called, they dragged the body from the yard into the house and told him this is where he shot him so he could not be prosicuted.
Probably nobody thinks like I do but if this becomes a low in UK and Ireland. Could you not invite over someone you didn't like, Gather up a rucksack of some of your posessions and kill him and get off with it. I am suprised nutters over in the US don't do that more.
Dunno about that Reddy..........One less scum bag who could potentially break into MY house, good enough for him, thats what I say!! Been a spate of burglaries round my way recently, according to the cops they know who is doing them (some newly released junky) but they havnt been able to catch him yet!
