Man city play blackburn at home tomorrow, tough physical encounter which will hopefully drain them a bit.

we need a good performance from the lads after todays dissapointing display. Defo can win if we want to.

    reina
    finnan carra hypiia arbeloa
    masch alonso
    gerrard
    babel yossi
    Torres

Sami might not be fit though, which could be huge. We need Agger back asap!

If Fit my team is - Reina
    Finnan Carra Hyypia Arbeloa

    Benayoun Gerrard Alonso Kewell

    Torres Babel

I have really lost patience with Voronin, I had serious doubts about him before he arrived but he as done nothing to endear himself to the fans in my opinon and Dirk is having a mare so I go for all of our pace up front.

Another big game and a must for 3 points.

    I've a few quid on a 3-1 here ...

We need to do better than our last game and City is an important win for us this year, imho, so we need to be firing on all cylinders.

the lads got a good boost out of winning a tight game yesterday an extra days rest and all before city which is a bonus but it will be very hard have to go with wingers to get as much width into the game on a big pitch

Well he went off at HT yesterday with an ankle problem and I read somewhere this morning there Rafa said he would need to talk with the doctors to see if he could make the City game.

What's the story with Agger? When is he expected back? I think we've really missed him all season.

I think we've missed Alonso most this season. When he's fit and playing well he's awesome.

But back to the City game, I don't think this'll be at all easy. Has to be said, Sven is doing a good job there.

I hope you've stuck that few quid on an away win there mate!

Seriously tough ground to go to with a played 9, won 9 record for them in the league at home. Need to be firing on all cylinders for this one, and another cameo performance from Nando and Stevie G like yesterdays would go down nicely as well. I think we'll do very well to come away with more than a point from this one, my spider senses predict 1-1. Here's hoping for more.

Id say we might sneak a win in this one, although a lot depends on the injury situation. Also, if carra gets booked again Hobbs could be our first choice centre half for the wigan game. I think Rafa should go for Alonso and Masch in the middle and Stevie on the right (free to roam).

This is a really, really key game, Arsenal are off the boil and will likely drop points (or even lose) at Goodison, Chelsea may well also drop points with their growing injuries and a desperate Newcastle side. Unfortunately I don't see WHU taking points off the mancs but we really, really need to win this to stay in touch, as after this we have very winnable games against Wigan and Boro.

After the next 3 games the table may look very different... just hope someone can take points of the mancs

Masher MUST play here (presuming he will after starting on the bench midweek) - esp if we are having a suspect defence with Hobbs or a 'fit-again' Agger, and Petrov is very very dangerous so Finnan has to fire up and keep him quiet, take Petrov out of the game and the bluenose have not much else

    --------Reina--------
    Finnan--Carra--Hobbs/Agger--Arbeloa (flu? get over it)
    Gerrard (roam)--Mash--Alonso--Kewell
    ------Kuyt----Torres------

Sub Kuyt for Babel after 60min.

id chance babal up front with torres but on the wing when he starts he trys but lacks confidance to pass players its only when we are 2 or 3 nil up he has the confidence so my team would be

    reina
    finnan carra praying agger arbeloa
    beny olonso mascha kewell
    gerard
    torres

i think thats a very strong defensive and very strong attacking team to beat the manc city side:cool:
