    Some stupid country that place is,. It amazes me at times with some of the stuff they do and say, and more so the stuff they get away with,. It'd be funny if Barton sues Newcastle also for choosing to go to the states to play knowing he would refuse entry, and thus not providing him with the right to work,.

    He abides by their rules plain and simple.

    If anyone here had the same wrap sheet we wouldn't get near the place either. Just because he's a pro footballer he doesn't deserve any special treatment.

    It's a pity Ireland isn't as strict with some of the scum we let in here!

    Apparently he has 2 years to go of a 5 year period to keep his nose clean before being allowed back into the states. He, or anyone other profession shouldn't be excempted from the rules because he/she's a footballer, singer etc.....

    mad country alright. went to the states last year. had to pay i dunno, €20 each for meself wife and kid for visas. then its 20 questions at ins in boston. why are you coming here, where are you staying, when are you going home, why are you wearing a tie if your on a pleasure trip. ffs.
    won't be rushing back. wouldn't mind but i can get over there pretty cheaply cos i work for airline.

    The reason he was refused is because he cannot get a working visa aside form a holiday visa.

    Having been involved in the balls up that is Canadian Immigration for the last four years, Travis 100% correct, Barton is an idiot, a travel visa & a work visa are two completly seperate issues.

    Pretty much anyone can get into a country, be it the US or Canada, for a travel visa (holiday), because that is exactly what it is, a travel visa. But if you want to work then they do the background checks on your passport, hence the issue with Barton getting a work permit.

    Maybe he should of thought about stuff like that when he was beating up 15 year old kids, d**khead............
