Oh cool. i love these things. I'll do it when I get home (at work now so no time).
I'd say second place for us this season with the squad we have now. Add a winger theat can actually cross the ball and we may even win it. Let's hope we come out of the traps quickly this season instead of ten or so games in.

Realistically I think 3rd, but closer to top 2 is a minimum requirement, If not 2nd. But if united land Tevez, then I think they will win it....SOBs

dont be so squimish. giggs and scholes had something of a twilight last season. I'd be surprised if either managed to keep it up for another full season.
as long as we win our matches and manage to nick a few points off our rivals we will be fine.
i'd give anything to see us win the league as i was too young to remember the last time =(

What would your money be on though? I really think we are better equipped to crack the top 2, but can we win it yet...well obviously I'll put money on it but....

If we can make an improvement away at Utd,Arsenal,Chelsea,Bolton,Newcastle,Boro,Fulham,E verton. Since Rafa arrived these games have cost us badly. Out those 24 games and out of 72 possible points we have only got 12 pts out of these games in the last 3 seasons. Thats nearly half our away games and we only averaged 4 pts out of 24 in each of the last 3 seasons thats so poor. We need to drastically improve in these games to have a chance. The other 3 away games i would be worried about are as always to Spurs even though we have brought 5 pts back with us since 2004 and the same at Villa park and Man City only 4 pts brought back since 2004.
If we can improve against the eight i mentioned at the top espeically we have a chance. With the other three as well. The Villa game up first will be interesting if we can set down a marker there it will show we mean business.

if we get a good start and win 5or 6 of u 1st 8 games and get confidance we can go all the way if we play like the start of last year were going to fall behind
I'm predicting a 2nd placed finish, unless we bring in some serious quality on the wings. Think we'll have another good go at old big ears as well, wouldn't mind to try the various vodka types over in Moscow :)

It really does depend on the first 10 games, if we're up high at Christmas then we have a good chance! But I reckon it'll be 3rd but not too far behind 2nd...

We will win the Premiership this season. Might falter in Europe and other cups cause Rafa will be focusing on what is 'our holy grail' will have them up for the start of the season to make sure we dont drop any silly points.
Villa away matchday one is a tricky trip...

I curse that stupid BBC predictor. Spent yesterday babysitting my lil bros and came back and forth to put my score guesses in which took forever. And then when i clicked show table (getting very excited to see my 07/08 season) it said page not responding.
I can guess Pool came first as i was also very bias with my scores, was interested to see the rest of the table tho. I would guess I would have had Fulham, Derby & City near the bottom and may have given Sunderland some unrealistic scorelines.

THe whole thing about the top 2 attitude p*sses me off.
Like 2 years ago we were only a point off second, yet still 8 pts or so off winning the lge.
If we came second this year then I wouldnt be happy. Winning is all that would make me happy.
After feeling the despair in Athens (which I still havent recovered from), I know that the only thing which can make it go away is becoming the Kings of England once more, where we belong, give Anfield a Championship winning side once more before we move away from it forever.

I agree, but progress is progress. I would rather us to achieve success slowly, then reside rightfull on our "f*%$ing perch" for eternity. Its close though. I can feel it, but I think this is a season too soon.

resurecting a few threads to see how things have changed in a few months.

Looks like my league finish prediction is going to fall a bit short, here's hoping I'll be sipping plenty vodka in May though ;)
