How did they manage to get it again so soon?I know it's the FA centenary and all but surely it shouldn't have been held there this year then.I'm baffled by that decision.
Consolation for the World cup debacle I'd assume. Sepp may have had a word in an effort to placate an uprising.
That's what I was thinking alright.I'd say there will be a few would be hosts very unhappy by that decision.
I believe with the new criteria for holding a CL final only 6/7 grounds in Europe meet it one of them been croke park.
Will never be in Ireland so if the Aviva isn't suitable! Can you honestly see the FAI begging the GAA to allow them host it the final in Croke Park. Never gonna happen after the money it cost to build the Aviva. Ridiculous when you think about it that an amateur association like the GAA has a stadium like Croker leaving the FAI, a professional association, in their wake stadium-wise!
I don't know about that, money talks these days. Its not actually that surprising when you conceder the turnover the GAA have and the fact that they pay nearly nobody.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_stadium_categories Theres the criteria, it doesn't seem like much, but most Stadiums in Cities would be ruled out, unless they own a lot of land around them,. Then theres also the extra stuff, like the airports, transport structure, hotels etc and the capacity of at least 50,000
