Seeing as we seem to of a put a bid in for Clichy according to Tony Barrett - I thought it was worth giving him his own thread to save it getting mixed in with the rumours/twitter thread. 5 Million would be a steel, one of the best left backs in the premierleague, easily worth double that, Would be over the moon with 5 million.
Liverpool make their intentions clear with £5m bid for Gael Clichy Clichy may leave Arsenal after eight seasons

I'm very surprised with that stat as I always thought he was better going forward than defending. If we got him for even 7/8 million it would be a super piece of business.Plus taking a decent player off your rivals couldn't do any harm.
I would love to get him. Surely someone will better that price though. And would they want to sell him to us.
id like to see him here, i think he's a fine player that can only be made better with good coaches around him
Be a great signing, gets absoloutly no cover at arsenal, plus working with clarke will improve his defending like it has glen johnson
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2001751/Liverpool-want-Arsenals-Gael-Clichy.html He is not on a great wage. (although I wouldn't mind having it)
Is Clichy that good? Always thought he was a bit dodge myself. Id still prefer Enrique, though open to correction.
Clichy is proven Premier League left back.'Enrique one half Decent season. I know which I would rather have.
Dodge? Enrique is very very dodge at the back IMO. I'd be delighted with Clichy although I know he may be a little suspect he's a good player and a steal for this kind of money.
never rated him that highly but who knows, maybe with kenny and steve clarke he might improve greatly. and 5 million, although it'll probably be a bit more if the deal does go through, for a starting left back from one of the top 5 teams in the league could prove to be a great bargain
