Yes, try a program called Handbrake. I've converted hundreds of dvds with it without any problems. DVD Fab is more widely known but it gives me a sound delay by a second or 2 that's really annoying.
Cheers, will give it a bash later. Is it pretty straight forward? I wouldn't be the best when it comes to this sorta thing.
It might look a bit complicated at first but there are presets for most devices that automatically chose the best settings for whatever you are using. The preset toggle switch is in the top right hand corner. The only downside is the time it takes to convert a file. Depending on the quality you want it could take up to the actual length of the movie.
Dunno what I'm doing wrong but any DVD I've tried has failed. Am I right in thinking I just pop in a DVD to the laptop and choose that ad the source or do I copy to laptop or something first?
Does Handbrake not recognise the DVD? Or does the conversion fail? When you chose a source do you see a drop-down list of titles under the source menu?
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ Download this free software - click on Apple Devices then Video to Iphone. It will convert it for you. It also does Youtube to mp3, to iphone and android phones. Its a CD/DVD burner and a load of other stuff. I work in IT and its the 'best' piece of free software Ive come across in a while.
Yep in the drop down menu it has a list of options. I choose the D drive and it starts but then gives me a failed message. Tried different DVDs. Cheers mate I'll give that one a go too. Thanks lads.
