Too right. If they reside in Ireland they should pay taxes just like every other Irish person.Fair play to the lads for organizing the protest. It's a serious issue that needs highlighting.
If someone said you can register for tax in another country so you pay less in your wages 100% of people will do it
thats fair enough for me & you, not for some cun+ telling godfearing Irish people to skip luxuries to pay for some charity administrator or 3rd world dictator
I reckon anyone holding an Irish passport should have to pay some amount of tax here in our country - they are either one of us, or they are not. Having said that, I agree 100% with the point the Captain has made above, if people are given the opportunity to reduce their tax bill, they will .... begs the question, who deserves the blame here Bono & the lads, or Ireland & The EU ?
Everyone has a choice (if your that rich). However you can't preach one thing and do another. When Bono is asking governments to cancel loans to the 3rd world he conveniently forgets its mine and your taxes that provided those loans, not his!!!!!!
No doubt double-standards here. But where were the protests 2 years ago when they sold out Croke Park for 3 nights???? In other words no one really gives a crap really...
